Regarding this edit, pasting material to GB (disambiguation) that had been cut from GB: This is not an acceptable way to move a page, because it separates the page from its edit history. For information about moving pages, please see Wikipedia:Moving a page. In any case, that disambiguation page should not have been moved, because it was already in the right place. Dab pages using the (disambiguation) clarifier are only used when a term has a primary topic, which GB does not.--ShelfSkewed Talk 17:07, 19 June 2011 (UTC)

Dear Pig, I am Majestic PyreMy Speech Bubble . I have, so far, spearheaded the adopt-a-typo project. I noticed your comment, sugestting that it might be best to double up on typos. However, at least in my opinion, and I am as new to this as you, it seems that it will be more effective to entrust specific typos to specific users who then, after defeating the backlog, merely check periodically. I would, though, love more discussion about the subject. Please feel free to contact me on my talk page. Majestic PyreMy Speech Bubble 20:41, 20 August 2011 (UTC)

I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe you can be trusted to use rollback correctly, and for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. 08:34, 28 August 2011 (UTC)—An optimist on the run!

Your kind gesture is highly appreciated! I had not logged in for a couple of days because I was not sure how to proceed. Now I can concentrate again on what I had imagined to do, i.e. drafting an article to Wikipedia on "Cochran's C test", see if I could contribute to other people's articles as well, and check if it would be appreciated if I would start translating some articles into Dutch. --Rtlam (talk) 19:35, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

Hello and welcome to the Guild of Copy Editors! I would be happy to mentor you. To become a member, there are 2 things to do. First, place this text: ((User Copy Edit)) on your user page. This will create a user box and will automatically put you on the newsletter distribution list. The second is to add your name to the participant list.
To get started on copy editing, there are several ways to find articles to copy edit.
So, there are some things to get you started. Let me know if you need any help with the copy editing process. I'm generally busy during weekdays and I may not be able to respond right away, I'd be happy to help if you need it. Happy editing! --Tea with toast (話) 01:57, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
It is up to you whether you do your copy editing in one edit or multiple edits. For me, it usually depends on how long the article is and how much work needs to be done. If is is a long article and I know it will take me a while, then I will put the "In use" tag up and edit section by section. One problem with trying to do everything in one edit is that on rare occasions, someone may edit the page before you save your edits. That can cause an edit conflict, and you might loose the changes you made. Is there any particular problem you are having with the backlog drive? Here is a link to the main drive page which has some more detailed instructions on how to get started. There is also a link to a FAQ page there. If you have any specific questions, let me know. Ciao! --Tea with toast (話) 04:00, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
I see your good work at Beowulf. Just to mention something, you don't have to say when you're coming and going. Just edit when you edit and not edit when doing other things.
Also, when I started wkifying last year I used to make many small edits - a comma, a wikilink link etc for each save when someone told me it's better to get more things done in each save. It's up to you, when I work an article I try to get as much in a single save as possible - like this.
Like you I had trouble picking a user name. It seemed all the names were taken until the tenth or twentieth attempt. Slightsmile was not my first choice. Anyways nice to meet you, pluma. SlightSmile 23:57, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
Perhaps you would care to explain why, after I addressed two of the issues you tagged on the above article (lead too long and no section headings), you reverted my edit without explanation. Or better still, instead of tagging articles and then leaving it up to other people to do the actual work, you could actually have a go at improving the article yourself if my effort wasn't good enough for you. Richard75 (talk) 17:45, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
This is an automated message. Your editor review is scheduled to be closed on 2 October 2011 because it will have been open for more than 30 days and inactive for more than 7 days. You can keep it open longer by posting a comment to the review page requesting more input. Adding <!--noautoarchive-->

I added this text as an update to the medical uses section...
Escitalopram is primarily used for the treatment of major depressive disorder and general anxiety disorder in adults.[1] There is some evidence favouring escitalopram over the antidepressents citalopram and fluoxetine in the first two week of major depression.[2] Concerns of sponsorship bias however is noted.[2] In another review escitalopram and sertraline had the highest rate of efficacy and acceptability among adults receiving treatment for major depression with second-generation antidepressants.[3]

Hello, I realize I should have explained my edits instead of just pressing delete. What happened is I had started an article on Foundation Financial Group last year. It was rejected for lack of notability and I was told to revise it when I had more information. I revised it today, and deleted the old version, of which I am the author, but it was never on Wikipedia. I made my edits in draft and did not submit them yet. You told me to make my edits in Sandbox, which is an alternative, however, not permanent. In the draft guidelines, it states that I can take my time to create my draft page. However, now I cannot access my new draft - only my old draft that I don't want anymore. Can you put things back to the way they were? You also said I was vandalizing. I am not a vandal. A masochist would be a better word, I think, because you can't vandalize yourself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Geis0099 (talk • contribs) 00:16, 22 October 2011 (UTC)

my edit was constructive in the following very real sense: we do not condone the keeping of these animals. you provided no citations to the contray (or any at all).
I will revert once more. you will revert again. then you can get back to your pictures of puppies my friend. I'm too busy. you cannot give a proper life to an animal like that. you're deluded.

I'm still annoyed about your behaviour here. You said "I'm sorry for sending the vandalism warning for your first edit", which offers no explanation for why you failed to see that my edit was obviously not vandalism, nor why you spammed me with 7 further templates, each one accusing me of non-existent vandalism. You said "any editor can be reached through calm discussion" but you reverted not only my comment to you [8] but also my comment to the other user [9]. You didn't try any calm discussion yourself, with your only non-template message to me being this, which made no sense anyway. The Guild of Copy Editors invites you to participate in their November 2011 Backlog elimination drive, a month-long effort to reduce the size of the copy edit backlog. The drive begins on November 1 at 00:00 (UTC) and ends on November 30 at 23:59 (UTC). We will be tracking the number of 2010 articles (and specifically will be targeting the oldest three months), as we want to copy edit as many of these as possible. Barnstars will be awarded to anyone who copy edits more than 4,000 words, and special awards will be given to the top 5 in the following categories: "Number of articles", "Number of words", and "Number of articles of over 5,000 words". I case you're not aware, all you do is install the script:
importScript('User:Ucucha/duplinks.js');
onto Special:MyPage/skin.js, and you'll find a clickable link called "Highlight duplicate links" in your toolbox section of the page (probably in the left hand column). It can be found both in normal view mode and edit mode. Press on it, and away you go! Have fun! --Sp33dyphil © • © 06:47, 8 November 2011 (UTC)

Guild of Copy Editors November 2011 backlog elimination drive update
Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors November 2011 Backlog elimination drive! Here's the mid-drive newsletter. Participation: We have had 46 people sign up for this drive so far, and 28 have copy edited at least one article. If you have signed up but have not yet copy edited any articles, please consider doing so. Every bit helps! If you haven't joined, it's not too late. Join us! Progress report: We are making great progress in our goal of clearing out the oldest articles (April, May, and June 2010) from the queue. There are 122 articles left in those categories, which compares very favorably with the 281 that were present at the close of the September drive. We have reduced the 2010 backlog by 184 articles so far. Coordinator elections: The term of our second tranche of coordinators will be running out at the end of the year, and we will be accepting nominations for new coordinators early in December. The election will likely run in the last two weeks of December. Please consider helping out by nominating yourself or someone else in the Guild as one of our coordinators. I love how quickly correct edits get reverted, whereas Beast from da East's erroneous edits stand. The character he added back to the page has never been called Riot. Beast from da East went and undid all the name changes done to the various Symbiotes, completely ignoring the discussions on their talk pages which clarified the names he reverted them to were utter fancruft. These errors on his part stood unchallenged for the last week. If you check the main Symbiote (comics) talk page, you'll see repeated discussions over several years about the names, all of which reach the same conclusion. If you check the histories, you'll see that following these discussions the various Symbiotes get shifted away from the unofficial fan-made names, but every time some uninformed individual who didn't take part in the discussion and hasn't bothered to check the talk pages changes it back. So, to summarise: there are two characters called Riot in Marvel comics, not three, and the one I removed and you reinstated is not called Riot and never has been. 109.145.21.188 (talk) 19:08, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
Hey there, don't worry! I didn't forget you. Users with SUL requests often get expedited usurpation because they already have the claim to the username. ("In order to reduce the frequency of SUL conflicts as well as enhance collaboration and foster good will across the various Wikimedia projects, English Wikipedia bureaucrats will typically process requests to "usurp" unused or inactive local accounts made by SUL owners expediently and with relaxed consideration.") Your time is coming, so don't worry. bibliomaniac15 08:32, 27 November 2011 (UTC)

Guild of Copy Editors November 2011 backlog elimination drive report
Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors November 2011 Backlog elimination drive! We would like to thank all who participated in this drive. Here is the end-of-drive report.
There were 48 editors who signed-up for this drive, of which 35 participated. Thank you to everyone who helped reduce the size of the backlog!
During the drive, we reduced the backlog by 232 articles, or by about 6%. This is a two percent increase from our September drive, when we copy edited 4% of the backlog. We were successful in our primary goal of clearing the oldest three months—March, April, and May 2010—from the queue. Thanks to all who helped copy edit these difficult articles. Thus far we have reduced the copy edit backlog by 5086 articles, or by about 61%. End-of-drive results and barnstar information can be found here.
The term of our second tranche of coordinators has run out, and we will be accepting nominations from December 5, 00:01 UTC to December 15, 23:59 UTC. If you or any other member of the Guild of Copy Editors wishes to be a coordinator, add your name to this page along with a statement describing why you believe you should be a coordinator for the Guild. You must be able to commit to a six month term. Thanks! Once again, thank you for participating in the Guild's November 2011 Backlog elimination drive! Our next drive will be in January, and we hope to see you there! Your drive coordinators – Diannaa, Chaosdruid, The Utahraptor, Slon02 and SMasters |

Guild of Copy Editors March 2012 backlog elimination drive update
Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors March 2012 Backlog elimination drive! Here's the mid-drive newsletter. Participation: We have had 58 people sign up for this drive so far, which compares favorably with our last drive, and 27 have copy-edited at least one article. If you have signed up but have not yet copy-edited any articles, please consider doing so. Every bit helps! If you haven't signed up yet, it's not too late. Join us! Progress report: Our target of completing the 2010 articles has almost been reached, with only 56 remaining of the 194 we had at the start of the drive. The last ones are always the most difficult, so thank you if you are able to help copy-edit any of the remaining articles. We have reduced the total backlog by 163 articles so far. Special thanks: Special thanks to Stfg, who has been going through the backlog and doing some preliminary vetting of the articles—removing copyright violations, doing initial clean-up, and nominating some for deletion. This work has helped make the drive a more pleasant experience for all our volunteers. I noticed that your auto-archiving had gone bonkers because the code was placed at the end of the talk page instead of the start. As such, the bot kept creating new archives which including the archiving template, thus causing it to "archive" the new archive every few days. I fixed it for you and cleaned up the bot's mess. If you no longer want auto-archiving you can remove the ((User:ClueBot III/ArchiveThis)) template at the top of this page. --ThaddeusB (talk) 20:12, 23 March 2012 (UTC)
Guild of Copy Editors March 2012 backlog elimination drive
Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors March 2012 Backlog elimination drive! This is the most successful drive we have had for quite a while. Here is your end-of-drive wrap-up newsletter. Participation Of the 70 people who signed up for this drive, 40 copy-edited at least one article. Thanks to all who participated! Special acknowledgement goes out to Lfstevens, who did over 200 articles, most of them in the last third of the drive, and topped all three leaderboard categories. You're a superstar! Stfg and others have been pre-checking the articles for quality and conformance to Wikipedia guidelines; some have been nominated for deletion or had some preliminary clean-up done to help make the copy-edit process more fun and appealing. Thanks to all who helped get those nasty last few articles out of the target months. Progress report During this drive we were successful in eliminating our target months—October, November, and December 2010—from the queue, and have now eliminated all the 2010 articles from our list. We were able to complete 500 articles this month! End-of-drive results and barnstar information can be found here. When working on the backlog, please keep in mind that there are options other than copy-editing available; some articles may be candidates for deletion, or may not be suitable for copy-editing at this time for other reasons. The ((GOCEreviewed)) tag can be placed on any article you find to be totally uneditable, and you can nominate for deletion any that you discover to be copyright violations or completely unintelligible. If you need help deciding what to do, please contact any of the coordinators. Thank you for participating in the March 2012 drive! All contributions are appreciated. Our next copy-edit drive will be in May. It depends how you look at it. Under the Nazis it was a Gau (district) consisting of three political districts: Eger (with Karlsbad as capital), Aussig (Aussig) and Troppau (Troppau). In other times, Sudetenland has more vague borders, but always considered to be the German speaking parts or ethnic German parts of what was Czechoslovakia even well before 1939. Anyway, that's what our Wikipedia tells us, and none of it seems to be disputed, so I guess it's reliable. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 11:10, 3 December 2013 (UTC)

Hi, I'm looking to help re-activate the Percy Jackson Task-force. As you are one of the few members still actively editing Wikipedia, I wanted to extend an invitation for you to work with me to do this. If you are no longer interested, I'd appreciate your taking the time to remove your username from the "Active" list here. And thanks for all you did before!
If you are interested, I would also ask you to consider a proposal I have, which is that this task-force become the "Rick Riordan" task-force. I've suggested this because I think it would help keep the project active and also help stop some pretty widespread vandalism in articles referring to that author. My proposal in brief. I'm a relatively new Wikipedian, so I'd appreciate the advice and expertise of a more experienced user. Thanks again in advance, and feel free to contact me on my Talk page. 2ReinreB2 (talk) 03:57, 21 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. ♦ Hello, Pluma! This message represents your invite to the annual Rick Riordan task force roll-call. It has been a year since our last check-in, and all members are being asked to quickly reaffirm their participation. Our membership options are: Active, Supporter, and Inactive (see our members page for more information). You are currently listed as Unknown. You've been that way since the last roll-call. As a result, if you do not respond to this roll-call, your name will be moved to "Inactive" so the project can better keep tabs on who is available to help out. No hard feelings, we hope! |
Can you please justify your recent 'bannering' of the above article. It looks a little like overkill; certainly there are sections that require more in the way of citations, but what specifically makes you come to the conclusion that it contains substantial amounts of OR? This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have recently shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Hey, wanted to let you know I partially undid your edit to the intro of Teutonic Order. You'd generalised the correct claim that the Teutonic Order did forced converting in the Baltic to the incorrect claim they did the same in the Middle East. That crusaders did this in Outremer is a common belief, but it isn't what historians think. Not that they were tolerant or enlightened, but their normal practice there mirrored Muslim treatment of dhimmis mostly with a couple differences. Some references for this are Jaspert, Die Kreuzzüge, there's an English translation The Crusades too but I haven't read that, and Davis, "Life for Muslims in the crusader states" in Andrew Holt, Religion and World Civilizations.
