Thanks for sorting that out - I rescued it from "Wikipedia:NJIT HUM 456/sandbox/Daniel Lewis James", started untangling the references, got distracted by something else, and was delighted when I came back to it to find that you had taken over. JohnCD (talk) 12:10, 1 June 2012 (UTC)

Hello RHaworth. I saw that you had blocked this user. It looks like they have added a bunch of selfpromotional info to their talk page. It also looks like they have added info about a company in China. I am wondering if this should be removed or rev/deleted and should they have talk page access removed. If not then please do not worry about it and thanks for your time. MarnetteD | Talk 07:47, 2 June 2012 (UTC)

Dan Ginnane

Hi there, in April you salted Dan Ginnane. It's been recreated at Dan Ginnane (Sports Broadcaster). Whilst I agree that there isn't much coverage of him, as opposed to his job available online, he is a major radio broadcaster in the major sport in Sydney, a city of >4 million people. I've added an national radio industry award that he won last year that shows that he is recognised in his field, so I think he is notable enough to have an article. Please review, and if you think it passes the minimum required level, please unsalt and move the article to the unqualified title. Thanks, The-Pope (talk) 15:47, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

Muhammad Iqbal Urdu Poetry

Hi, It was found here that you had deleted the article Muhammad Iqbal Urdu poetry, Could you please let me know the reason of delition of the article. :)--Omer123hussain (talk) 16:49, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

Please see the reasons given to keep the article here, any way just preior to your delition I had applied sources and expanded the article. Waiting for your earliest action.--Omer123hussain (talk) 17:34, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for your positive hope :), Please see this justification by an established user, who want to keep the article, In fact the user strongly supports and appeals to develop the article for comprehensive studies.

I hope instead of Muhammad Iqbal Urdu poetry, we shall restore the article with the name Work of Muhammad Iqbal as suggested here, he is a good writer, and his work is bridge between east-west, Iqbal work is not represented properly, and also due to some misunderstandings the users spoiled the Main article Muhammad Iqbal which lost the status of FA.

Hardly one week before I initiated this article, and instead of random sources, I wanted to apply more reliable and comprehensive sources, as few minutes before it was deleted, I developed it quiet reasonable, which you might have noticed. Kindly restore, so that we shall rename it to Work of Muhammad Iqbal. :)) Regards --Omer123hussain (talk) 20:26, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi, may you kindly do the needful, as you may find here that now couple of users support to keep the article.--Omer123hussain (talk) 04:36, 7 June 2012 (UTC)

Yes, the author is known for his poetic and research in other then urdu language, thus kindly make it to Work of Muhammad Iqbal as also suggested by other users there, so that it may contain all Academic lectures, philosophical and poetic work.--Omer123hussain (talk) 12:22, 7 June 2012 (UTC)

Ibn al-Khattab

You declined my db-move for Ibn al-Khattab using http://omaribnalkhatab.org/ as your rationale. I fail to see how a mosque and cultural outreach centre in Los Angeles has any relevance to a biographical article about an Islamist insurgent in Chechnya. See Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, Zubayr ibn al-Awam, al-Qaeda, Ayman al-Zawahiri, Anwar al-Awlaki, and Muqtada al-Sadr for examples of the standard capitalisation of such names on the project. Wikipedia:Arabic names consistently uses lowercase "al-" throughout. ~~ Lothar von Richthofen (talk) 20:28, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

History of Burnside High School

I see that you speedy deleted History of Burnside High School under CSD:A7. I think for such an article, which is a split from Burnside High School, notability of the whole subject needs to be taken into account, and you are no doubt aware that many Wikipedians regard all high schools as having intrinsic notability. Also, the article has been in place for about six years.

I think an AfD discussion would be more appropriate than speedy deletion. The page was tagged and deleted within a few minutes, giving no one a chance to contest it. A merge to the school article may be an appropriate outcome for AfD.-gadfium 23:08, 8 June 2012 (UTC)

The Maud Powell Signature, Women in Music

Could you please add-back the article, The Maud Powell Signature, Women in Music. It is a start article that, in a week's time, will have the heft you were looking for. The entry is worthy for several reasons; namely, it clarifies the source of inline citations that refer to it. The publication is produced by bona fide musicologists and scholars who, on their own merits, are notable in publishing of scholarly works on classical music. The article strengthens wikipedia's portfolio of classical music entries and is a strong resource for women in music. My sense is that topic is not of the self-promotion ilk. Question about notability

Please advice me: What are the criteria on notability of academic personalities from non-English-speaking countries? I tried to write a short article of a Finnish MD and professor Jaakko Elo, who is a prominent urologist and historian of European urology. You deleted it before I had added practically any text. If there is an article of a person in the Wikipedia of his country/language and the person is considered notable enough in some country, when is he/she considered proper for an article in English? Are the criteria same for English personalities? Sincerely, user "Jiikele", Finland — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jiikele (talkcontribs) 23:09, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

Thank you. My mistake was to begin the article and save ihe first line, and I was providing the content and had written it, but before I could save it, you had deleted the beginning. Am I allowed to try again?

Prof. Elo may not be known outside his academic community, but that community is international, and as a journalist by profession I feel it relevant to provide short articles of scientists like he in an international language. I think one "problem" with English Wikipedia is that English being the international language, notability has different levels when we look it from New Zealand, from the UK, from the "All World" and from non-English-speaking countries with special communities like, well, urologists. All these groups use Wikipedia as source with different approach and different interest of knowledge. I still do not think these are in collision. - Jiikele — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jiikele (talkcontribs) 23:52, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

Now there is some content in "Jaakko Elo". Would you kindly check it and consider lifting the ban, if you deem it proper. Sorry to steal your time, but thanks for guiding. -Jiikele — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jiikele (talkcontribs) 14:42, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

Genius Collective

I just speedy deleted the page Genius Collective prefix:User talk:RHaworth. The content of the page, reproduced below, appears to have been intended as a message for you from User:Happyinred. SpinningSpark 00:39, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi Mr. Haworth. I would greatly appreciate it if you could reconsider the deletion of the Genius Collective band page. My reasons for asking are: - The page was only created today, and as stated in the page's talk section, there is alot more work to be done to get this page credible. - I share your hatred of poorly written / crafted Wikipedia pages. I am a music teacher by trade, and my students frequently return homework with text directly copied from factually incorrect Wikipedia articles! - Please can you give me seven days to fix this page. The Genius Collective band are dear to my heart, my daughter absolutely loves them, and they work alot within our local community and have helped a lot of young people to develop their musical and life skills. They are a worthy group to be added to the Wikipedia files, I just need some time to prove it! I have done my research as to the history of the band etc. and your kindness would be greatly appreciated. I really look forward to hearing from you, Kerry Scott aka. Happy In Red
  • Please learn the correct way of leaving user talk messages. Please also learn the correct way of creating article drafts. Give you seven days? My dear, you may have seven months if you work in the right place: user:Happyinred/sandpit. You were advised to do that in 2009 January - why did you not follow that advice? Please note "my daughter loves them", "work a lot within our local community", etc. cut absolutely no ice with Wikipedians. What we need are links to significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. If your students have cribbed bum info. from Wikipedia, as punishment, I hope you make them correct Wikipedia. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 09:24, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

Liberty Stadia

Re Liberty Stadium (Ibadan) and Liberty Stadium (Salonta): can you restore these two redirects? As a former name of an existing stadium, why was the redirect at Liberty Stadium (Ibadan) deleted? Or the alternate name at Liberty Stadium (Salonta)? It would make a reasonable redirect is reasonable for both these cases. I will note that the person who renamed the two pages that used to lie at those locations seems to be trying to rename the remaining Liberty Stadium (see Talk:Liberty_Stadium,_Swansea), so this seems like gaming the system to make no bluelinks appear at any "Liberty Stadium". I can't see how a person who renamed a page could be the sole author, so could qualify for a db-author, this loophole could result in move-and-delete wars 70.49.127.65 (talk) 05:07, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

Phillips, Spallas, and Angstadt, LLC.

Dear Rhaworth, first of all I appreciated your tireless work for Wikipedia. I can only imagine, from perusing your content, the amount of nonsense you must deal with on a regular basis. That said, a page I created with the title of this entry was deleted by you last week due to copyright infringement. I have since been informed the content has been donated to wikipedia at permissions@wikimedia.org. Could you please re instate this page so further edits may be made to make the page more concise? Thank you for your time and dedication. Cormac Fawsitt (talk) 17:36, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

My standard advice which I repeat parrot-fashion to people like you is: kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks your organisation is notable and writes about it here. I certainly have no intention of restoring the article but since an earlier version already exists at User:PSALAW/PSALAW, I replaced its text with the last state of the deleted article. Phillips, Spallas, and Angstadt, LLP. is not (yet) protected so there is nothing to stop you reposting yourself. If you really insist on trying to create an article, I will give you one specific piece of advice: it will always risk deletion if it does not contain links to significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:58, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

Talk:Gen Next

Hi RHaworth, I am wondering if you could email me a copy of my article that was taken down, it was for Gen Next.

I also have a question because I am writing this article about the company I work for. It seems they have had a hard time getting different articles to stay up and they either get deleted for insignificance or for sounding like advertising. If you could give me any tips on how to find a good middle ground that's acceptable that would be awesome!

For some background my company is Gen Next. They are a non-profit executive membership company who uses their influence to solve generational problems in economic growth, education, and international security. They have done various things from successfully getting politicians into office to partnering with Google Ideas on Against Violent Extremism. So they have importance to who they are and what they do I just need to figure out where that fits with what Wikipedia wants. The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure

The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure article was deleted in March of 2011, no doubt justifiably, but with the film nearing a release in "Oogust" (Really, that's what the posters actually say!), it looks as if it should make a comeback along with the deleted redirect The Oogieloves. It would be strange and perhaps even inappropriate for a mainstream film to not have an article, so somebody might as well get the restoration out of the way (Think of it like the momentary pain of tearing a bandage off.) Alert the powers that be to ... uh... "fix" the article to make it acceptable, so, like the Phoenix from the ashes, Oogieloves might Live Again! — 4.254.81.178 (talk) 05:43, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

I have e-mailed you the text. I am very dubious as to what extent a movie in a cinema can be made interactive so I strongly recommend you to wait until the movie has been released and has received some critical mention before you create any article. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:38, 22 June 2012 (UTC)

The Powers That Be are merely the... IlluminatiLizardPeopleWhoRuleTheWorld! That's all. No, you're reading too much into this, I just mean the folks like the article rescue squadron and at project film who could be told the article as it was upon its original deletion was unacceptable but having been brought back needs to be improved (They're better at that sort of thing and that's part of why they exist.), and articles when brought back should ideally contain their original history. (At least that's always seemed important.) As for any contribution to the article, I'd be able to do little more than call it an "Upcoming children's film", with an IMDb link and some categories. I was amused when I saw the (talking) poster while waiting for a midnight showing of MIBIII and later caught the trailer and figured a (by now certainly not so) quick note about the article resurrection and some redlinks awaiting "bluification" were in order, but... fine. Forget it and let its inevitable recreation be sans the original history. Klknoles (talk) 14:57, 22 June 2012 (UTC)

Gossip Girl DAB

You just moved back the DAB page to Gossip Girl here. Why? Making Gossip Girl a DAB page was undiscussed. There is even a previous consensus through a WP:RM to keep the TV show at Gossip Girl. Nymf hideliho! 10:12, 22 June 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply. No worries. I placed another CSD at it. I don't think I can make the move myself as a non-admin. Nymf hideliho! 10:28, 22 June 2012 (UTC)

I think you misunderstand. If you look at the history of the page, that's what I already did before you moved the DAB page to Gossip Girl. There was never a request to move the DAB page to Gossip Girl. The earlier CSD which you acted upon was for Gossip Girl (TV series)Gossip Girl. A confused Nymf hideliho! 11:41, 22 June 2012 (UTC)

I do understand. I already did exactly that once. That is my point. Nymf hideliho! 12:02, 22 June 2012 (UTC)

Linh Nga Nguyen‎

Where in the world does it say no consensus to move? When one party doesn't talk it is hard to have a consensus. Why are you going against Wikipedia policy per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Vietnamese)? Her Vietnamese name is Nguyen Linh Nga. As ALL Vietnamese people [[Vietnamese_name#Given_name| never go by their surname]. Bgwhite (talk) 23:47, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
