Are you Japanese? The singer is not japanese and songwriters is not japanese. Why did you change the original album cover to Japanese cover? I think the explanation of the song you changed is not about the artist and the song, but about Japan. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Samuraja01 (talk • contribs) 15:30, 12 October 2020 (UTC)

Sour Candy's Wowie Awards win was added to the BP awards+noms page but the majority of adds of this award across WP are supported only by a primary ref taken directly from the wowie website. I googled and haven't found any kind of coverage of it from secondary sources either. Hey Ashley, as much as I would like to cite a source for my information on the Amino App there isn't really much I can do on that front as Amino's nature as a social media app mean there aren't very many websites detailing all of it's features. I have run communities on it before and can assure you 'agent' status is real but obviously I can't prove it to you unless you go out of your way to use ACM to start one.

Hi Ashleyyoursmile! I've been running into you while patrolling logs and recent changes, and I happened to notice that you don't have the rollback or pending changes reviewer user rights. I hope you don't mind, but I went through your contributions and I noticed that you're quite active in recent changes patrolling, and that you consistently view and undo vandalism and bad faith disruption. I believe that these user rights would be useful for you to have and that you'd make good use of both tools. Instead of having you formally request these user rights at WP:PERM, I went ahead and just gave them to you. These user rights allow you to review edits that are pending approval on pages currently under pending changes protection, as well as to quickly revert the edits of other users in cases of blatant vandalism.
I'm sure you'll do fine with these user rights - they're pretty straight-forward and they don't drastically change the interface that you're used to already. Nonetheless, please don't hesitate to leave me a message on my user talk page if you run into any questions, get stuck anywhere, run into any issues or problems, or if you're not sure if the use of either tool is appropriate or not and need my input or advice - I'll be more than happy to help you any time you need it. If you no longer want one or both of these user rights, let me know and I'll be happy to remove them for you. Thank you for helping to locate, revert, and remove vandalism, as well as review and keep disruptive edits off of Wikipedia - it's a very thankless job to perform and I want you to know that it doesn't go unnoticed and that I appreciate it very much. Happy editing! :-D ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 08:55, 29 December 2020 (UTC)
I recently added this page I reverted the edit. The reason that it's not supported is that the majority of the support for my edit comes from the band's official Facebook page. Wiki leaks does not accept Facebook as a source, even when it's an official page.
This edit that I made as you can see in the history was previously a reverted by a bought because there was a Facebook link supporting
I also linked to a GoFundMe page which is presently active, and has a lot of the back story but Wikipedia does not accept that as a source either.
Do you have some advice on this? The idea that this page is going to sit here claiming that this person has disappeared and nobody knows where he has when there's plenty of public discussion that proves otherwise is problematic.
I mean if you're gonna edit it why don't you take that out to? The person did not disappear, the band is clearly in touch with them come up people clearly know where he has. So why is that unsupported piece of drivel allowed to sit there? Elikelp (talk) 15:28, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

Ashleyyoursmile,
Your removal of my content changes to the Bayshore Christian School page citing a lack of a source was incorrect.
1. The opening paragraph changes left the citation, because the one used was originally misquoted. Bayshore Christian is NOT cited in the article as starting as a segregation academy and the first Principal is quoted as rejecting it. Therefore, the citation I left in place confirms my edit, not the incorrect language that is originally there.
2. The academic references are biographical and do not need a citation beyond the school's website - I lifted the language directly from the website and the website is already listed on the Wikipedia page.
3. I do agree I changed the student population without a cite. I will try to figure out how to "cite" that from somewhere.
4. The number of sports is also listed on the school website, which was already cited on the page.
5. The Boys Basketball team success is found on the FHSAA website - also already cited on the page.
I will go back in and try to link the citations but would at a minimum ask that the opening paragraph changes that I made be reinstated, since the citation remains in place and confirms my changes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by FWRanger (talk • contribs) 15:23, 5 January 2021 (UTC)

Hi Ashley, you restored content on Islamic feminism which I had removed. Since I don't want to just revert your edit and create any controversy, I decided to come here to express my concerns about that page and explain why I made those edits.
The edits in question were pertaining to the section on dress codes. My issue with the current page (after your reversion and before my edits), specifically the section on dress codes, is that it seems to devote an outsized portion of the discussion to relatively fringe actors and views. It cites a handful of Muslim feminists from a single country and a singular fringe subset of feminism, and highlights them as the most important actors in the Islamic feminist debate on hijab and other forms of veiling. It then proceeds to a brief discussion of the more favorable views that most Muslim feminists have of hijab as a voluntary decision.
Based on the information available my impression is that the French Muslim feminists mentioned (Fadela Amera, Hedi Mhenni) are fringe actors in this debate, certainly outside of France. That's why I didn't think that they merited mention in a generic article on Islamic feminism which is ostensibly a general overview of the subject as an international phenomenon.
Most Muslim feminists do not oppose hijab itself as a social phenomenon, only objecting to enforced wearing of hijab, much less support state-imposed restrictions on the practice. My view is that Wikipedia pages ought to reflect the reality of the subjects they cover, and that includes how you frame information. If I read the page today and didn't have any background information, I'd assume Muslim feminists shared the worldview and politics of Nicolas Sarkozy.
For these reasons, I would suggest the following:
- Removal of the content on hijab restrictions in France and support by fringe actors in the Muslim community for said restrictions, due to the aforementioned framing issues. I believe that this particular content is wholly unnecessary in a generic overview article like this one. Even though it technically may be properly sourced, it's not really useful for this article.
- Brief discussion of the minority of Muslim feminists who view hijab as oppressive, including perhaps a name-drop of some of the people previously mentioned or someone like Asra Nomani
- Discussion of arguments FOR hijab which are made my many/most Muslim feminists, like Linda Sarsour, Ilhan Omar, Dalia Mogahed, etc.
I can certainly start this process myself.

Recently, you have reverted my edit on Sofiya Rotaru's name at birth - flagging it as possible vandalism and have suggested me playing with the sandbox (not nice). FYI, she was born Sofya Rotar (https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0744719/bio) and changed her name in her 20s. During the Sovietisation of Moldovans the last -"u" were forced to be dropped from the family names, so did her father, and it was a very bold move from her side (expression of nationalism) to restore it back into its original dynastic form RotarU. Now it is your turn to update her page with this information. Good luck!

Hello,
Recently I made an edit on the Ian Cobain wikipedia page. I am his editor at literary publishing house, Granta and Ian has asked me to forward the below message in response to the current bio that is in place:
Hello, can I make an observation concerning your edits of the wiki page of Ian Cobain? I am Ian Cobain, and the suggestion that I am best known for my undercover work is incorrect. I have been a journalist for 39 years, and went undercover just once, in 2006, when I joined the British National Party under a false name. I feel that insofar as I am known for anything, it may be that I am best known for my investigations into post 9/11 human rights abuses, British state secrecy, and the legacy of Northern Ireland's Troubles.
I do understand how important it is that wikipedia pages remain open for users to edit, but you seem to be rolling back changes that are intended to amend inaccuracies.
Regards,

Hi, Ashleyyoursmile
Recently I made an edit on the coffee and cigarettes Wikipedia page and also creating a page to help develop users ideas on coffee taking. I was not trying to advertise any product just a recommendation to make good coffee and ideas, you can check the website attached to it to see how useful it is (mycoffeetools.com). which I have been a journalist for 20 years. You can get back to me with the requirements or confirmation you'll need to verify my edit.
I do understand how important it is that Wikipedia pages remain open for users to edit, but you seem to be rolling back changes that are intended to amend inaccuracies.
Thank you

Hello Ashley
I think you posted your warning to the wrong person, and you meant to post it to ProcrastinatingReader. As they were reverting my work. They have now accepted they were in the wrong and stopped, but it was really rather frustrating and your message adds to the impression of general unfriendliness and gatekeeping of wikipedia's existing user I've experienced. Hi, I've seen you have changed my edit to remove the word 'openly' from the phrase 'openly gay' in Jonathan Bailey's page, and called the edit 'unneeded'.
Please can you explain why the word 'openly' is needed?
As far as I'm concerned the word is redundant. Bailey is gay. It's a simple fact. If he were gay and not open about it, you wouldn't be able to mention it on his page at all, because it would be hearsay.
'Openly gay' also implies some kind of stigma around being gay. You wouldn't say someone was 'openly disabled' or 'openly mixed race'.
Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kitsims (talk • contribs) 14:54, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

Ashley, I just corrected a false statement on the San Carlos Apache page, and you reverted it.
The statement that the reservation was established for the Chiricahua Apache Tribe isn't true. The Chiricahua Apache Tribe was separate and distinct from the Western Apache.
As a Chiricahua Apache, and former tribal leader, I find it very troubling when our history is conflated with other tribes. Chiricahua people did live there, but they were forced to move there 5 years after the reservation had been established. It was established after San Carlos Apache Chief Eskiminzin met with General O.O. Howard seeking a reservation for his people.
The edit saying that it was established for the Chiricahua Apache is unsubstantiated because it is untrue, and it should not have been placed there.

Could you explain how my statement published on the twiki page itself, about Paul the octopus was not Neutral ? You quote a statistician who discusses the outcome based on random chance, whereas I point out that the predictions were all for Germany. My *comment* as to suggest that this might have been intentional on the part of the Paul's German handlers, was only specutation, and so I was careful *not* to mention this in the actual text on the wiki page. So for example, for Paul to get 4 out of 6 predictions correct is *more* likely than getting all 6 correct. But similarly, for Paul to select, at random, Germany for *all* 6 would be 1/64 - the same as the probability to get all predictions correct, as stated by the statistician. But the chance to get 4 out of 6, would be 15/64, so the chance would be 15 times smaller to select Germany 6 times at random, than it would be to predict 4 out of the 6 outcomes.
So on this basis alone, that Paul selected Germany all 6 times, is statistically more interesting than the prediction of the outcome.
The fact that Paul selected *Germany* each time is then of interest, and a statistician would then want to determine additional variables, before determining whether the outcome were random or not, so in this case the question of Paul being in a German institute, selection Germany to win, would need to be explored and eliminated. In fact, for choosing at random, then half his predictions should have been been for Germany, ie 3 prediction, as Germany were playing in each match. Therefore, his selection of Germany for all matches, is at once both statistically more significant, and more interesting that the number of prediction that he got right. This is true statement irrespective of any perceived bias.
As this was all that was published in the page, then perhaps that should be allowed to remain. I do agree however, than my *comment* might be construed as being impartial, although it was not really, it was merely suggesting a suspicion that would need to be explored, before any claim on randomness could be supported, and before any claim to actually predictive accuracy could be considered.
Many thanks, Mark — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jamspandex (talk • contribs) 07:22, 10 February 2021 (UTC)

@User:Ashleyyoursmile, It seems you un-tag the CSD tag of the article Rectified_Spirit_(band) . As a reviewer, you may be correct!. So is this a good article and it eligible for Wikipedia policy? I am new here need to learn something from a senior like you please suggest to me. My clarification: I visit the article creator's talk page and found there are many speedy deletion notices and the article doesn't have any/enough notable citation, also the inter wikilinks article has been selected for CSD A7. I thought all things are creating again and again to promote some brands and self or a group. That's why I tag a vandalism label otherwise I can tag it as normal CSD. For your kind information, there is no news about the article's subject in India. If the article deserves Wikipedia space then, okay for me, I am an Indian and an Indian brand should be published. I am not against of music. especially I dedicated for Indian and Indian projects, So thanks for your review of the article and save me from a mistake. ;). Redbridge is a small locality within the London Borough of Redbridge. There is a Redbridge tube station
The writer of the former page is confusing the two. This is perhaps not surprising as "Rebdridge" is used as a name for both, often without explanation or clarification.
Many institutions in LB Redbridge take the borough name. The notable example is Redbridge Town Hall, which is in Ilford.
The writer claims that the Redbridge Institute is in Redbridge, but it has 4 locations, none of which are in Redbridge (In fact in Ilford, Gants Hill, Chigwell and Wanstead). They are in LB Redbridge, but not Redbridge.
The writer also says that Redbridge FC is in Redbridge, whereas it is is in Barkingside as your own article confirms. It is in LB Redbridge, but not Redbridge.
The list of notable people is of people born in LB Redbridge, not Redbridge.
There are several London Boroughs named in a similarly confusing way:
Barnet Bexley Brent Bromley Camden City Croydon Ealing Enfield Greenwich Hackney Harrow Havering Hillingdon Hounslow Islington Kingston upon Thames Lambeth Lewisham Merton Redbridge Richmond upon Thames Southwark Sutton Wandsworth Westminster — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.47.135.239 (talk) 18:22, 24 February 2021 (UTC)

For being kind and warming when reverting a revert I accidentally made on the Evan Taylor page 146.90.19.218 (talk) 18:51, 25 February 2021 (UTC) |
I have moved the article back to the article space. She's got an IMDB page, and has appeared in numerous major films and tv shows. If you don't feel that there are enough citations, add more. If you want to delete the article, put it up for deletion so there's a consensus. Please do not just remove the article without discussion on your own. Thanks. Hello Ashleyyoursmile, by the looks of things there's the chance of you becoming a target of Evlekis for the long-term. Is it possible for you to enable email? I can't see your email adress when using the in-built wikipedia function, and you can immediately remove it in your settings after I get across one to you. I can't post the information here per WP:BEANS. Thanks, Pahunkat (talk) 17:39, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
Hello. It appears your talk page is becoming quite lengthy and is in need of archiving. According to Wikipedia's user talk page guidelines; "Large talk pages are difficult to read and load slowly over slow connections. As a rule of thumb, archive closed discussions when a talk page exceeds 75 KB or has multiple resolved or stale discussions." - this talk page is 215.1 KB. See Help:Archiving a talk page for instructions on how to manually archive your talk page, or to arrange for automatic archiving using a bot. If you have any questions, place a ((help me)) notice on your talk page, or go to the help desk. Thank you. NASCARfan0548 ↗ 19:26, 28 February 2021 (UTC)

Thanks you for issuing a warning that you did here. I'm not sure if this was automatic/generic, but I'd like to quickly ask for your advice on something, if that's alright. The edit blocked by the filter in question was pretty disturbing, and while its obviously a provocation of frustration, its one of the more serious WP:IUC comments I've received. I've been considering approaching an admin about their behavior, but I'm hesitant bc it's a. not in the mainspace and b. not a part of a repeated act of vandalism, which lessens the probability of further aggression. Do you think it warrants this in your opinion? Thanks again and have a wonderful week, sorry to trouble you.--Bettydaisies (talk) 07:15, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

An article you recently created, A Patient Man (film), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Don't bother reverting them on userpages. I'll delete them when I see them. Feel free to ping me directly in AIV reports. I can't promise I'll see them all but if I'm about I'll deal with it. Hello:
The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article "Lights Up" has been completed.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
I rewrote the reception section as you asked in a way I hope is acceptable to the reviewers. I changed this sentence in the Release and promotion section The following day, it impacted the UK contemporary radio as a single in that country.[38]
to read The following day, UK contemporary radio stations added it to their playlists.
which I think was the intention. Before I made this change I checked the citation #38 to see what it said, but I could find no mention of the song on it. You might want to look into this further.
Best of luck with the FA review moving forward.
Regards,
