Welcome![edit]

Hello, Sedvabs, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Brianda and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Work on Iznik pottery[edit]

Hi @Sedvabs! It's your professor, Dr. Terndrup. I noticed that you are still working on getting your first improvements ready for the article Iznik pottery. Remember that you can use the bibliography page and sandbox to work on small sections at a time. As soon as you start adding to your sandbox, other students can comment on your work through peer review. Please let me know if you have any questions! Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Sedvabs! Your additions to Iznik pottery have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page or reach out to your Wiki Ed content expert. Thank you. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 04:52, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

December 2023[edit]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Plagiarism and copyright violations by User:Sedvabs. Thank you. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 21:37, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Sedvabs This is a serious discussion taking place right now at the Administrator's noticeboard. Your account may now be blocked because you repeatedly added plagiarized content after Red-tailed hawk warned you. I think you've already done this, but please stop editing Wikipedia. We'll be getting in touch with you and your instructor to discuss this. Brianda (Wiki Ed) (talk) 23:40, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
