I beleive your bot may hve deleted or reverted a legitimate edit to the afore mentioned article. Currently the article redirects to a disambiguation page for the word "shaft".
I just complained about vandelism (a tiny note at the bottom of the Russel's paradox article) And your bot took it away as "vandelism" I NEVER VANDALISE!!! ANYWHO I AM 12! P.S.How do you get a bot?Hi its mina19_1919! 05:40, 28 August 2006 (UTC)--
Tawker,
I've been using Treasure Trooper now for two months and have actually gotten paid real cash. With over 100,000 members and millions changing hands every month, it is unfair to permanently delete a Wikipedia article. We don't delete George W. Bush's article because of vandalism.
I understand that there exist many online survey scams and because of treasure trooper's referral policy, many spammed forums. But regardless of these misgivings, they are a legitimate business and have paid millions of real dollars to real people, represent a creative new model for internet marketing, and appear to be growing very rapidly.
I would be willing to write an objective article (fully cited) on Treasure Trooper- subject to peer review of course- if you could lift the lock on recreation.
Thanks for your time and wonderful work within the wiki community,
Charles Hoskinson

Your bot corrected my correction of vandalism on Liberalism in Canada calling it vandalism. Turn it off or I will report you for creating a bot that protects vandalism.
I deleted the majority of the article as it was taken directly from another website.
The bot reverted an edit of a release date for the port of Half-Life Deathmatch. The original version said it was released 21 days ago, on May 2, 2006. I have been playing this game for quite a bit longer than 21 days. It is an undisputed fact that the game was released on November 30th, 2004. The article is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Half-Life ; and the date is under the "Later Developments" heading.
I made some edits to the khatri article twice but they were reverted both times by Moderator3000. One was correcting a link to surname called Seth. The other was about Walias (which I linked) also being also called Ahluwalias.
Both these modifications are valid but they are being reverted both the times. I don't know if Moderator3000 is an official moderator of Wikipedia or is just doing what he seems fit.

i made changes to make the facts correct about Pathans and infact it reverted back to the old Pashtun changes which is wrong
Do you have an IRC recent changes feed
We have RSS and atom feeds. I dunno what else you mean. We don't have IRC. http://www.biosector01.com/wiki/index.php?title=Special:Recentchanges&feed=rss That would be our RSS feed. I hope you can work with that. ~~U

Just that if you look at his contributions, you'll notice he has made good edits in the past... I didn't take into account him being an 'abusive sockpuppet' at that point, just that he was vandalising with previous good faith edits, so I didn't block indef. — FireFox usertalk 19:11, 04 June '06
I was just wondering if you are still 'looking' for another person to host Tawkerbot2? If so, I'd be interested in giving it a go, if possible for both me and you. I had a few questions which I hope you'd have time to answer even if you don't need another host for Tawkerbot2.
Thanks, — FireFox 19:29, 11 June '06
Not sure if you noticed yet, but you've got some formatting problems on your awards section. The text that's supposed to name the specific award is sort of... Out there. :) 69.145.123.171 Hello!
I have left a reminder on this ip's talkpage about how offensive nazi type vandalism can be, you might want to raise it at WP:AN. Myrtone

Hello Tawker and thank you for your support at my Request for Adminship, which succeeded with a final tally of (67/0/0)! Please don't hesitate to let me know what I can do for you (or what I can generally do better) regarding admin-related duties or otherwise! :) |
Greetings, you're getting this spam (courtesy of Tawkerbot) because you were listed on Wikipedia:WikiProject_Vancouver. In short, we're trying to have a meetup and we'd appreciate it if you'd join our Yahoo Group setup to figure out a time/place that would work. You can find the group at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vancouver_wikipedians/. If you have any questions feel free to make a post there or on the WikiProject page.
Happy Editing!
Hi, Tawker, thanks for all your contributions of work to Wikipedia! I came across a form of spam that I hadn't seen before[2], where the user is inserting commercial links inside a "<d!v style="display:none">" tag, so they don't show in the article itself. User:JesseW suggested I ask if you should add that to a list for the Tawkerbot?Eaglizard 05:32, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

Your autobot reverted my changes to bunion twice. The changes I made are valid I corrected the spelling & spacing error, as well as added more info and a url. The changes I made are valid. Pls look into this. Thx.
I was redirecting the page Rockman ZN because it was a dupe article. There is another one Rebirth Rockman: ZN. Can you do something about it, please?

Dear Andrew, thank you so much for your beautiful words, your kidness and your trust in me! My Request for Adminship is finally over, and the support and appreciation that the community has gifted me will stick in my mind as long as I live. I have no way to properly express how grateful I am to you for all you've done for me, and all I can tell you is, I'll try not to disappoint you nor anyone else with my use of the buttons... and if I mess up, make sure to come here and give me a good yell! :) Seriously, tho, if you ever need my help, either for admin-related stuff or in any other way, you'll always be welcome to message me, and I promise I'll try my very best.
Dear Andy, this is the perfect opportunity to finally speak to one another after reading your words for months and months. I am sure that we'll be able to talk often, and trust me, it'd be my pleasure. Both your contributions and, most important your warm way to deal with others made me notice you long, long ago; and being supported by a person I look up to, like you, meant the world to me. I sincerely hope this is but the beginning of a friendship, and such thought fills me with joy. And btw, I simply "love" Riley and Georgie! :) With a big hug, your friend,
I have been interested in starting a bot to help reduce vandalism. I would like to know what clearance is needed to start a bot. I would also like to know somebody who is capable of writing a good anti-vandal bot. Thanks! Viva La Vie Boheme
hi tawker
please have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:65.98.90.51 again. user is still blocked, seems like a range block.
Thanks so much for your support on my RFA, which closed successfully this morning with a result of (64/3/3). I will be stepping lightly at first trying to make sure I don't mess up too badly using the tools. Any further advice/guidance will be gratefully accepted. I hope I will live up to your trust! From Wikipedia:Requests for page protection:
The user page was once a redirect to User:Tawkerbot2, after adding a doppelganger template to it. It was then turned into a bot's user page. There's no reason to keep it permanently protected, as long as there were no vandalism towards the page since creation. -- ADNghiem501 07:04, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
I was told to contact you here, so you can decide whether to unprotect your bot's user page or not. -- ADNghiem501 03:01, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Please have your bot leave this page alone. There are actually TWO Riversides in Oregon - one in Malheur County, and one in Umatilla County. So there has to be a page under Riverside, Oregon that points to both, not defaulting to one or the other. Thank you. Rarelibra 21:59, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Hey there Tawker, I noticed that you voted against the Johnny Lee Clary article and I was wondering if you would be willing to help with an article or perhaps help with getting it out of its deletion tag. Hello Tawker. I do not know if you are following the discussion at WikiEN-I about WP:BLP. We are discussing the possibiity to have a similar bot as the one running at vandalism-en-wp, that monitors the newly created Recent Changes page for articles on living people, that can be used by the newly forming Wikipedia:BLP Patrol. Could you help? ≈ jossi ≈ t • @ 13:49, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi - what are the requirements to run a clone of Tawkerbot2? I'm interested in doing so and was wondering how to go about starting to run it (if possible) Thanks Martinp23 13:48, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

To me, that just sounds pre-emptive. Blocking a range of IPs over one or two vandals just seems like a bad move to me. "a strong majority of the legit editors from schools are using an account anyways". How do you know that? And I don't think it's something we can assume. Blocking a range in the thought that "well the a strong majority of the legit users all have accounts" seems rather anti-wiki to me. Just refuse to do it. If you want to, be my guest. But it's not something I will do. --Woohookitty(meow) 14:52, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi - just thinking about it, would it be better for me to just get the files from another user of a clone - it may be easier to transfer. Let me knwo what you think :) Martinp23 16:20, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi, I clicked onto wikipedia without being logged on and saw that I had a new message. I saw that it was from tawkerbot2 saying that there had been defamation of the Berry Gordy article by my ip address. I(or anyone using my computer) have never edited the Berry Gordy page and I can only presume that tawkerbot2 has made a mistake beyond failing to recognize vandalism or non vandalism.
I am not at all worried by this but simply thought you would want to know. If you want any more information please don't hesitate to contact me. Maniacgeorge 16:55, 13 September 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I know that unblock request was going nowhere, but that IP is the probably the same person as Heyguys (talk · contribs) who stuck two unblock requests on his page, the second showing at least some awareness of policy. Hello! I notice that you softblocked 142.22.16.55. Can you advise me about doing this, please? I have had a couple of legitimate users suffer with collateral blocks on IP vandals. It would be great to learn about preventing this from happening, if possible. (aeropagitica) 21:03, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
What constitutes an AfD as being eligible for early closing? I've read the policy...there was a one-sixth minority (not 98%) on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rob Levin (second nomination) who agreed with me and it was closed early. There is a unanimous consensus on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cop math that agree with me and it is still open. Why close Rob Levin early? There's a hot debate going on about it, and the AfD wasn't given the full run. --JStalk 23:46, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
Hello! Digg itself is user-driven, which marks it as not reliable. It is not better than using GameFAQs, a forum post or a blog. However, most Digg articles point to a valid reference (eWeek, CNN, BBC, etc). Per suggestions, In general it is preferable to cite the original source for an assertion, as well as important confirming sources. It is generally preferable to cite reliable sources over less reliable sources when given a choice. In this case, pointing to a story in Digg adds an extra click the user must do in order to reach the real source, and a bunch of comments by common users that are not useful for the reader. Thus, when the reference pointed by the Digg post is valid, I replace the Digg one with the real reference. When the story pointed by Digg goes down, it is better to remove the link to the Digg story, as the user wanting to check the information will arrive to a chat room with no link. In these cases, either I remove the link and add a ((fact)) call, remove the assertion if it was an obscure one, or replace the Digg link with the broken reference, hoping others will assume good faith and believe the link, at one time, worked. I don't do this with Digg only, but with any heavily user driven site like Slashdot, Reddit, Blogspot, etc. Hopefully that clarifies the matter. -- ReyBrujo 02:04, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
Yo, get on IRC, what's up? --Cyde Weys 17:30, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
Per some digging at Wikipedia talk:Bots, with some clues from Betacommand, it looks like Cydebot wasn't malfunctioning. Per this, and Cyde saying that he would only work on standard CFD/W moves until he talks to you, I've unblocked Cydebot. If you want more explanation of my findings, I posted at talk:bots linked above. Syrthiss 18:45, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
