I believe as a user I can have my own page and title it as I wish. Isn't that correct? From my understanding it is, and I have had this page for over 2 years now.

Your user page is not nominated for deletion, an article about a soccer club is. GiantSnowman 10:53, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your user page[edit]

Hi there, per WP:NOTWEBHOST, Wikipedia is not a web-hosting website - you can not use it as a free web host for your club's information. Regards, GiantSnowman 22:19, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This article compares available 'wiki' websites - one of them may be better suited. Regards, GiantSnowman 22:20, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Many users use their page for personal web hosting and personal profiles. Why is that allowed and not this? User talk: Untitled F.C. 22:24, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Two wrongs don't make a right - just because others exploit Wikipedia as a free web host, does not mean it is allowed, because it's not. GiantSnowman 22:26, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I said this multiple times on the Article For Deletion too- articles are okay in userspace if they have a snowball's chance of turning into an actual article. See WP:FAKEARTICLE. Another user suggested Wikia, which would be a good place to turn. tedder (talk) 22:33, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It is very difficult to determine what is allowed and what isn't with so many rules and things that do not make sense. In addition these so called other sites you are suggesting use different templates which require more work and involve starting from scratch. You guys simply put 3 years of work into the garbage. Thanks! (talk) 22:37, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You have the text, as you've pasted it back here. It simply isn't appropriate content for Wikipedia. tedder (talk) 22:39, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I have the text but it doesn't work anywhere else. It is simply useless, the tables and templates are what made the page useful on Wikipedia. User: Untitled F.C. (talk) 22:40, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You can paste it in (don't save), then hit 'preview', then 'view as HTML'. That'll give you reasonably simple HTML to get started with for Google Sites or somewhere like that. But 90% of the page should work as-is at Wikia. tedder (talk) 22:49, 14 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
