Village Cricket Boy is a 2022 Malayalam-language Indian short film directed by Rahul R.Sarma, starring Davinchi Santhosh,Divya Gopinath in lead role.The film released on 08 July 2022 through Nerambokku YouTube channel.The film won the Kerala State Television Award for Best Children's film and Best Child Actor in 2022.[1] [2] This film was screened at International documentary short film festival of Kerala 2022 in the Short Film Competition category.
Kannan is a little boy who lives with his mother and brother. He loves the game of cricket and is a big fan of Sachin Tendulkar. While playing cricket with his friends, the cricket bat unfortunately breaks from Kannan's hand and as he has no cash to pay for a new one, his friends isolate him. Worried from the field Kannan who came Argued with mother Kannan met Boost while watching TV at his neighbor's house Sachin Tendulkar will get a signed bat for free. Go to the store and ask if they have cricket bat free. Kannan leaves the shop saying that he will come back with money in hand. When I found out that I would not be able to buy a boost from home,Kannan stole money from Punyalan's vow box and rubber from the church yard. It took days to steal. When he had enough money to buy, he came to the shop and by then the offer was over. and the money of the saint,Realizing that the rubber was also stolen, Kannan puts the money back in the offering box. From a distance, he sees his mother standing in the backyard.The new ola madal bat that mother had hidden was given to Kannan.Mother,Brother and Kannan will play cricket. Amma happily hugged Kannan.
