W15EB-D (channel 21) is a low-power, Class A television station in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States, affiliated with Visión Latina and owned by Innovate Corp.[2] The station's transmitter is located on the Morris Communications Tower in South Charlotte, where it shares with sister station WVEB-LD.[3]

History

The station's construction permit was issued on January 11, 1993 under the calls of W34BN, as an owned-and-operated station of the Three Angels Broadcasting Network (3ABN). It was changed to DW34BN on September 1, 1993, and moved between the two until becoming W21CK-D on April 4, 2008.[4] In 2015, the station was sold to OTA Broadcasting for $1.1 million, but continued to air 3ABN programming.[5] In November 2017, HC2 Holdings (later becoming Innovate Corp.) purchased the station for $500,000.[6] It changed to the current callsign of W15EB-D on October 8, 2019.[4]

In late 2019, subchannels 21.1 was assigned to Soul of the South and 21.2 was Three Angels Broadcasting Network (3ABN); in 2020, Soul of the South was dropped, moving 3ABN to 21.1 and Cheddar was added on 21.2.[8] In September 2020, its affiliation with 3ABN ended, with the 21.1 changed to Infomercials. In 2021, BeIN Sports Xtra, NTD, ShopHQ were added, while Cheddar was dropped. In 2022, SBN, Novelisima, and Visión Latina (first HD channel) were added; BeIN Sports Xtra and ShopHQ were dropped. In 2023, Law & Crime, NBC LX Home, TeleXitos, ULFN (second HD channel) were added; Novelisima was dropped.
