The Western Institute of Technology (WIT) is an engineering college located in La Paz, Iloilo City, Philippines. It was established in 1964 with the primary goal of addressing the increasing demand for skilled manpower in the field of engineering in the Western Visayas region.[1]

The founding of WIT reflects a strategic response to the regional and national development goals that emphasized the importance of education and training in engineering. By creating an engineering school, the organizers aimed to contribute to the development of a skilled workforce that could support the growth of industries and infrastructure in Western Visayas.
