Question I'm agnostic on his article, but a key question is the notability of his medals at the Pan American Judo Championships. Is this a notable event that would meet WP:NSPORTS? Alansohn (talk) 23:19, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Keep Admittedly the coverage is weak--judo gets virtually no coverage in the U.S., even during the Olympics. However, a 5 time U.S. champion (plus 4 time runner-up) along with winning 4 medals at the continental (actually inter-continental with North and South America) championships seems like significant accomplishments. Definitely meets WP:MANOTE (yes, I know that's an essay) but his accomplishments seem superior to the requirements of other sports listed at WP:NSPORT.
