Keep (as meeting WP:NFOOTBALL, even though that bar is set ridiculously low) but propose deletion as a potential biography of a living person without references. Barney the barney barney (talk) 19:11, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Your removal of the PROD, and subsequent comments both here and at BLPN indicates that you are disrupting Wikipedia to try and make a point. Ignoring the fact, of course, that there is no real claim to notability here, let alone a verified one. GiantSnowman 19:18, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I am not being disruptive. I am not leaving insulting instructions that "editing priviledges" will be "revoked" because of my supposed incompetence. I am not starting AFD debate on an individual who clearly meets the guidelines. I am not removing tags in violation of WP:BLP. I am trying to resolve this correctly. Delete. Notability not established with reliable sources. Gamaliel (talk) 19:33, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Based on the guidelines, he's notable. It's not my fault the guidelines are daft. Barney the barney barney (talk) 21:43, 22 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Comment. Could this be a possible hoax? No news hits and no book hits, and I don't see any non-false-positive Google hits either. Taylor Trescott - my talk + my edits 20:49, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
@Taylor Trescott: - I think the creation is good-faith; I just think the subject is so non-notable that there is simply nothing out there about them. With such a minor sportsman from 80 years ago it is to be expected. GiantSnowman 10:38, 22 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Keep -- We cannot apply the standards of today's sport on notability to the inter-war years, when players' salaries were not bloated by TV money. He played for clubs in the senior leagues. Peterkingiron (talk) 14:24, 22 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Your !vote is not based on policy in the slightest, and playing in the lower divisions of the Scottish league now does not even confer notability. Please review WP:FPL - 2 of the 4 Scottish leagues are not fully-professional, and the professional nature of a third is under question at WT:FPL. GiantSnowman 15:03, 22 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Delete - No indication of notability, nor even of the years he played for Raith, which from the club article seem like they were pretty lean. Although not necessary for an individual article, for a player of that time I would expect a mention in the club article. Fenix down (talk) 16:21, 22 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Delete - No evidence that this article will satisfy the GNG. I can't think of a reason to presume notability for a footballer that played roughly one season in a lower-tier league. Jogurney (talk) 23:08, 22 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
