• Weak keep point 3 of the Aussie rules section of the oft-quoted WP:ATHLETE says "is known, and has received significant coverage in reliable sources, for major individual achievements in a state football league." Being named club captain and winning his club's best and fairest award is about the minimum requirement for that.
