Bu Shaqq[edit]

Previously an orphan. Searches return hits from all the usual sites (e.g. travelingluck, fallingrain) with location/type from GNIS and no user-added information. Two different locations in those hits, neither of which appear to have a tower of any significance near them. Delete unless non-English sources are provided. Google Books and News provided nothing relevant but it's likely any or all sources are not English or Internet-based. Honestly, there really isn't much information describing this tower. SwisterTwister talk 21:33, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: The coordinates given in the article are for what is (using Google Maps) apparently a bit of desert, with some buildings within a few hundred metres but nothing that looks like a tower. The coordinates are also within the territory of Sharjah, not that of Ras al-Khaimah, as stated in the article. It is possible that it is just the coordinates that are wrong - some of the Google sources give alternative coordinates which would place it close to Ras al-Khaimah itself, but I don't seem able to verify that it is there either. Merge and redirect to Ras al-Khaimah. So far, English sources seem verifiable but none imply notability. Native language sources do not seem to have been found. (Indeed, I could not find the Arabic spelling of Bu Shaqq at all; I searched with the most intuitive spelling.)
