List of deus ex machina examples[edit]

Delete OR indiscriminate, not verifiable. Wikipedia cannot be an authority on what is and isn't a deus ex machina. Even the very first example (from Homer) is questionable because Homer is meaning that gods interviened due to storm (hardly dues ex machine since it is meant to be at least some what historical) I can see tonnes of problems in the rest of the document due to original research.--Dacium 22:53, 21 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Keep, As I found this as useful source of examples when I first learnt what DEM was all about. Having said that, I agree that the article is too long. Trim it down so that there are a few good examples of each category. I would suggest that the current categories are ok. That is, Books, Cinema/TV and Music, each subdivided into actual examples of DEM, examples for comic effect, and references to the phrase. Limit it to no more than (say) 5 examples of each.StephenBuxton 17:18, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Integrate I think that the list is long. It is longer that the main article. However, I think that there are many good examples in the list. I think that the best examples should be included in the main article. I do not think this article should be deleted. I also agree that they are difficult to cite with references, and that this does not diminish their relevance.--Minotaur500 18:34, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
