- Comment. There's a few more of these lists to consider: Category:Solar eclipses by country. Ajf773 (talk) 08:18, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Other lists had more content, deletion is not suitable. --B dash (talk) 08:52, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Content can be added. As there is no difference between those articles and this one except for the level of effort that has gone into each, if they should stand so should this. Indeed, I suspect the reason this list is so sparse compared to those is due to geographical location; there are considerably less Ukranian editors on en.wiki than US, Australian and British - we need to be careful not to introduce geographic bias. -- NoCOBOL (talk) 11:33, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - There are existing lists in other, larger regions. Please see List of solar eclipses visible from the United States. There is no reason we should delete this page of eclipses visible in the second largest country in Europe. Skirts89 (talk) 15:14, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- I'm not sure I'd use that as a good example, it's pretty much a violation of WP:NOTSTATS. The other lists wikilink items to the eclipse articles, and in the case List of solar eclipses visible from the United Kingdom provide some annotation.--Pontificalibus 19:54, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep, no valid deletion rationale presented. "Unnecessary" isn't even worth responding to. And even apart from the inadequacy of "can be replaced by category" (particularly in light of WP:NOTDUP), the nominator has it exactly backwards; why would we want 100 or more categories tagged on every eclipse article, one for every country from which they are visible? But separate specific lists of this kind can coexist without causing the same clutter. postdlf (talk) 19:16, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep No valid rationale given for deletion, and good rebuttals given by all editors above. This list can always be enhanced; the fact that it hasn't yet is absolutely no reason for deletion. And Postdlf is spot on about categories. This is a bad deletion proposal. Nick Moyes (talk) 00:04, 25 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep, per my comment above. -- NoCOBOL (talk) 05:41, 25 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep I wished I would support deletion but now we have moved to a stage where articles and categories both have become necessary to create.- Kaweendra (talk) 06:21, 27 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
