Keep with expansion One of the more well known replacements for Notepad (I use it myself based on a TechTV segment with Chris Pirillo), with g-hits around 135k and many recommendations for using it. Keep. metapad is one of the more popular text editors used in GameFAQs and IGN, so much it was even included in the site's documentation for writing FAQs [1] [2] [3]. It's also cited quite often in the guides itself [4].
