Keep: In regard to the proposed deletion of Noah Pawlowski because of failure on WP:NFOOTY. He is not a professional footballer and rather his inclusions would fall under the category of WP:NCOLLATH, in particular #1. He was awarded the top Canadian university honour for goalkeeping, that is a national award and so it seems like a clear point for inclusion, additionally he has been "the subject of non-trivial media coverage beyond merely a repeating of their statistics, mentions in game summaries, or other", for example.--YouCallThisClean? He isn't being listed as a professional athlete, rather as an Amateur Sports Person who has won a national award and who has received non trivial news coverage. This qualifies the entry as notable based on WP:NCOLLATH--YouCallThisClean? (talk) 07:56, 14 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Keep - Passes WP:NCOLLATH as has been awarded all-Canadian status. NCOLLATH suggests awards and similar to those found here are sufficient. All-Canadian football team would appear to be the equivalent to College Football All-America Team. Needs expanding to show WP:GNG in a wider context not deleting. @GiantSnowman: and @IJA: may want to revisit their opinions as WP:NFOOTY is not relevant in this context. Based on the the text of WP:NCOLLATH College athletes and coaches are notable if they have been the subject of non-trivial media coverage beyond merely a repeating of their statistics, mentions in game summaries, or other WP:ROUTINE coverage. That particular link features a two minute long feature on Noah Pawlowski specifically. It includes a personal interview as well as a brief biography. An interview with an individual discussing team and coach interaction as well as thoughts on being with the team are not "merely a repeating of their statistics, mentions in game summaries, or other WP:ROUTINE coverage". Delete - I'm not persuaded that this guy is notable. There is no question that he fails GNG and NFOOTY; this leaves the NCOLLATH guideline. Whilst he was indeed named in a major University level list, I'm not convinced that this list is notable by our standards, and he certainly hasn't received non-routine, independent coverage for being named in the team. Additionally he did receive independent non routine news coverage as per the video link in the references. Here it is again.
