Comment - the Champions League is a very prestigious competition. Why wouldn't a player that has played in the competition not be considered notable? --MicroX (talk) 19:26, 19 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Because his appearance was in the qualifying rounds, which do not receive nearly as much coverage as the competition proper. This is a well established consensus.
