Contested prod. Original reason for prodding was "This guy fails WP:ATHLETE as he has never made a competitive first-team appearance for a fully professional club, nor has he played senior international football. Under-21 appearances are not enough." The prod was removed on the basis that the subject "would appear to meet GNG". However, there is minimal coverage of this individual other than incidental mentions in teamsheets, meaning that GNG is not satisfied at all. – Pee Jay 08:49, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- this guy does seem on his way to represent Ireland (if not united) in the not so distant future. I suggest probation for a month to see if things change, it seems silly to delete an article which probably meets the GNG in short time.         According to its article, Estrela play in the Portuguese third division which isn't listed at WP:FPL, therefore he would fail WP:ATHLETE. Looking at the references though, he'd pass an AfD. Bettia (talk) 19:34, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Userify - he fails WP:ATHLETE, and WP:GNG, and therefore should not have an article. However the article is resonably well written and sourced, and its not unreasonable to assume that he will be notable some day, so we should hang on to the content.
