Keep a WP:BEFORE search seems to pass WP:GNG: [1] [2] (six months later) or this long tribute: [3] There's also some smaller stuff from his managerial days, but it's clear he was influential in Irish football from the sources provided. SportingFlyer talk 11:54, 19 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Keep per SportingFlyer. While NFOOTY may be questionable, GNG/SIGCOV is not. Ideally the nominator would complete the activities expected in WP:BEFORE in advance of nominating on "not fully pro league" or "links in article aren't great" grounds.
