The result was keep. Those opining here seem to be of the mindset that there are indicia of notability though none here claim to be able to read the underlying sources. If further consideration reveals the assumptions here are incorrect, the article may be renominated without prejudice. I declined a BLP PROD as this has sources, but they do not appear to be independent. Guy (Help!) 09:56, 16 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Strong Keep This is not "keep only if the sources are in English" Wikipedia. Good grief! Did you go to the Russian Wikipedia? Did you do WP:BEFORE? I do not speak Russian, but this document [1] clearly shows in google translate "he was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War II degree, Order of Glory III degree and the medal "For Courage";" it also shows that in 1988, film work by "Vladimir Zamansky was awarded the USSR State Prize", which the Russian Wikipedia states is a presidential decree and cites this document [2] as the source. I repeat, I don't speak Russian so can not confirm but AGF that it is what is claimed. The Russian Wikipedia also shows that his war record was looked up in a database here which is cited as evidence of his medal. The website states it is "a unique information resource open access "Feats of people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945". The file is also attached to articles in French, Ukrainian and Polish. This article from the Ukrainian site confirms his USSR state prize. This article [3] lists multiple awards as both an actor and a war veteran. Clearly notable. The fact that there were 4 wikis should have alerted you to look before you nominated. SusunW (talk) 23:04, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
