Trust me, the "Wilkins family" is far more than a handful of footballers. Each of the actual players have their own article. If the family is so notable, it should be moved "Wilkins football dynasty" or something, and not so generic as "Wilkins family". One problem with Wilkins and Family in titles is that was the name of the UK's first ever 'reality TV' family - from Reading IIRC - shown back in 1974. I somehow to recall that latter lot were in the Encyclopaedia Brittanica - at least in the late 70s - but I'm 5 mins away from flying out the door to go to work so I'll try to sort that one out when I come back. • Merge and redirect - per Giant. The famous footballing families list does seem to be the best home for this. (Must remember the disamb/redir if I ever do get to starting an article on the afforementioned "The Family" Wilkins off the telly). From late-70s fond memories of LWT's The Big Match, it seemed they featured highlights of every Chelsea home game (to this Hammers supporter anyway). This was when youthful midfielder captain Ray Wilkins was a teen-mag favourite and playing alongside big brother defender Graham. I recall my old man remarking that it was a good job there weren't any footballing Droy siblings ... Plutonium27 (talk) 22:19, 1 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
• Delete Already listed at List of association football families of note, cross references and descriptors exist in individual bio pages (expand if you've a mind to), Wilkins family is not unique in (therefore not particularly notable with regard to) having multiple members of the family playing the same sport, so trivial. "Wilkins family" is an unlikely search criteria, mostly anyone searching for such would simply search Wilkins and take it from there, so redirect not necessary, and indeed could easily create confusion regarding other Wilkins families. --ClubOranje^T 01:13, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
