I'm not sure if you're being sarcastic, it's hard to tell... the "potential" of any project is for it to be philosophically "complete". The "aim"? As has been commented on many times, we speak as a community at cross-purposes depending on which direction we class as "complete", and have been doing so for a long time. • Comment. Quite a few hits in The Recorder (Eastern Counties Times) (via BNA) if someone has time to investigate further... William Charles "Bill" Gunary was a farmer. He played club cricket for Dagenham and later Ilford, where he was captain from 1929–1932. All very local and routine though, so unlikely to be enough to warrant keeping an article about him. It should also be noted that he was a bowler, so the article's current focus on his batting is undue (a consequence of the dubious practice of synthesising articles from database entries and statistics). _wjemather^{please leave a message...} 09:55, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

• The established consensus with articles such as this - established over a number of years - is to redirect to the obvious list if one exists - in this case List of Essex County Cricket Club players. There is clearly some contemporary media coverage of him and in cases like this it's entirely possible that other sources come to light that might make the article more viable as a standalone piece. In those terms, under WP:ATD - a *policy* not a guidelines - we should preserve the article history and attribution. A note can be added to his name to expand on what we have so far whilst we're at it, along the same lines as the other 3 notes that are already part of the list. • Redirect to List of Essex County Cricket Club players As of now, I'm not seeing enough, and those who are quite good at finding information haven't found much, for a GNG pass.
