Approved for trial. Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. Same length as the adminbot, they should be approved together. BJTalk 02:48, 11 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I may have missed something, but why is the approval of a separate bot required for this task? Surely it would be simpler if DYKadminBot performed this task as well. The fact that it would be admin bot doesn't mean it can't perform non-admin tasks - especially where it is one closely related to its primary purpose, surely? This is not the only task this bot will being in the future (assuming other tasks gain approval), there are many things at DYK which could be automated, that will most probably be done by this bot, so keeping the tasks that require the sysop rights and tasks that don't separate simplifies things more than having DYKadminBot perform them. Also, if something ever did go wrong with this particular task, an admin could block DYKBot without affecting the operation of DYKadminBot. ~ User:Ameliorate! (with the !)
