Function Details:Bot will use AWB. It will began each session by getting a list of all fair use images. I will click "Image Links" and then filter out the links to include user pages only. The bot will run through and replace any fair use images in the user space with an image substitution. The bot could also be use to replace a specify image with another upon request (i.e. [1]). I have already done this before, just without clicking "Save".
Added: Also requesting permission to run bot at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Working for category renaming. Will use AWB under "More" to replace category A with category B. Wikihermit (Talk • HermesBot) 21:47, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Approved for trial. Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. This is on the assumption that for the image task, you will be warning users on their talk pages when an image is removed from their userspace and the image that will be inserted in place of the removed fair use images will be Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg. (This is exactly what User:Gnome (Bot) does, although it hasn't been running for a few days now). Replace (and warn about) 30 images or so, and fix 50 or so categories. —METS501 (talk) 01:23, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
