Discussion[edit]

Bot blocked for operating without approval as of now. --ST47Talk·Desk 19:52, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This task is frequently denied as it dehumanizes the process of welcoming new users, and has opposition within the community. Unless there's something new and unique that can allay these concerns, then this bot task cannot operate on enwiki. --ST47Talk·Desk 19:53, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, the first edit the bot made (without approval) was to welcome someone who later was warned for vandalism. It's generally agreed by users here that we should welcome users who make constructive edits. --ST47Talk·Desk 19:55, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
