Automatic or Manual: Automatic supervised
Programming language(s): AutoWikiBrowser
Source code available: AutoWikiBrowser
Function overview: Bot will be used to replace deprecated templates according to consensus.
Links to relevant discussions (where appropriate):
Edit period(s): As needed
Estimated number of pages affected: Depends on TFD activity. Very rarely, it will require a few hundred edits. Oftentimes, as few as 5 or 6. Any less than that and I'll do the substitution by hand.
Exclusion compliant (Y/N): Yes
Already has a bot flag (Y/N): Yes
Function details: I will use the AWB regexp feature to replace templates that are to be deleted due to a discussion at TFD or other appropriate venue. My recent edit history shows some examples in AWB's fully supervised mode. Often times the consensus is to migrate a template and delete. When this happens often the migration is severely delayed. It is better to migrate the templates before deleting the old version.
