I do not agree with your reason. The purpose of the inclusion of the picture in the article was to depict a now deceased person at a particular stage in his life and career. This particular picture not only shows him with and actress whom he had a long standing domestic relationship which included a child, but also in one of his earliest and most enduring roles. I also believe that this and the other images that you have tagged for deletion in that article are important to the understanding of the subject. Without the pictures that I have included, one gets an image of a man who was perpetually aged. There were other stages of his life that should be illustrated within an article on his life. Are there free images that would do the same?-I have not found them and I have researched the subject very thoroughly. If you and I cannot solve this I do plan to contest it further.--DorothyBrousseau (talk) 23:52, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I do not agree with your reason. The purpose of the inclusion of the picture in the article was to depict a now deceased person at a particular stage in his life and career. This particular picture not only shows him at Cannes, but at a point in his life when it appeared that he would gain some measure of success as a director and a producer. He won an award at that event making it historical. I also believe that this and the other images that you have tagged for deletion in that article are important to the understanding of the subject. Without the pictures that I have included, one gets an image of a man who was perpetually aged. There were other stages of his life that should be illustrated within an article on his life. I do not agree with your reason. The purpose of the inclusion of the picture in the article was to depict a now deceased person at a particular stage in his life and career. This particular picture not only shows him with his latest wife, but at a point in his life when it appeared that he might gain some measure of success as an actor that he had not known in many years. I believe that is the context of this person's life, the event was historical. I also believe that this and the other images that you have tagged for deletion in that article are important to the understanding of the subject. I do not agree with your reason. The purpose of the inclusion of the picture in the article was to depict a now deceased person at a particular stage in his life and career. This particular photo shows him accepting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which is a milestone in an actors career, thus an historical event. The fact that it is a public appearance boosts its status as a "fair use" candidate. I also believe that this and the other images that you have tagged for deletion in that article are important to the understanding of the subject. I do not agree with your reason. The purpose of the inclusion of the picture in the article was to depict two now deceased people at a particular stage in their lives and careers colaborating with each other, Because both of the people depicted are deceased and famous the event is historical. I really, really do not agree with your reason. The purpose of the inclusion of the picture in the article was to depict the actual subject(s) of this article. The article is about the Carradine family. Certainly the photo is owned and copy-written, I doubt the Carradine family owns a photo of this particular grouping of their members at this particular stage of there lives! It includes two now deceased famous people at a particular stage in their lives and careers. This is the elder Carradine's 68th birthday making this photo historical! I also believe that this and the other images that you have tagged for deletion in that article are important to the understanding of the subject. Without the pictures that I have included, one gets an image of a man who was perpetually aged. There were other stages of his life that should be illustrated within an article on his life. Keep What do you mean nothing is known about the copyright status of the picture? It's obviously a newspaper scan, and it has "The Boston Globe" right there in the file name.
As a low resolution version of a photograph of a now-dead animal, I'm not even sure which of the 10 points of fair use policy you're claiming this violates. Is it the tenth? Are you claiming that the source isn't identified properly? That's a pretty goofy claim with the source right there in the title. If it bothered you that much that it was in the title and not in a proper source tag, couldn't you have copy/pasted it with far less effort than it took you to list it for deletion?
