IMO, this file seems to fail c:TOO. It is simply a ((PD-textlogo)) with the wording + the star as a geometric shape. I don't believe the ray behind the star would make this file too original. I've decided to seek other opinions instead of being bold like I normally would. I would like to keep this file, but convert it to ((PD-textlogo)). I am rather dubious that something as heavily stylized as this would be PD-textlogo. How old is the logo, though? It may meet some other PD-US criteria if it was put in use long enough ago. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 10:44, 31 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: WP:SOFTDELETE until a WP:NFCC#8 and WP:NFCC#1 compliant rationale is provided. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 10:41, 31 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File:New Disney Cruise Line Boats.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Elisfkc (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Non-free image being used in decorative manner in Disney Cruise Line#Future. File has a non-free use rationale, but it's claim that "As these ships have not completed construction, the only images that exist of the ships in their completed states are the renderings produced by the Walt Disney Company." does not seem correct. According to the article, four of the six vessels have been completed and are currently in service. Freely licensed images for these ships are being used in the article, so a non-free representation of them is not needed per WP:NFCC#1. Moreover, there is no real need for a non-free image to be used for the two uncompleted vessels per WP:NFCC#8. The reader does not need to see this particular image to understand what is written about these two vessels and the image itself is not particularly the subject of a sourced discussion so the context required by NFCC#8 is lacking. The image is fairly general and there are no real discernible details other than it is an image of six ships, so there no significant information provided by this image about the two new ships that requires it be seen by the reader. Suggest delete since this kind of usage is not really allowed by the WP:NFCC. -- Marchjuly (talk) 02:55, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: Remove from Royal Research Ship and change the copyright tag to ((Non-free 2D art)) Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 10:38, 31 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File:New UK Polar Research Vessel Concept Art.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Elisfkc (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Non-free image of a research vessel under construction being used in Royal Research Ship and RRS Sir David Attenborough. A non-free use rationale is provided for each use, but only the one for "RRS Sir David Attenborough" seems valid because that is a stand-alone article about the vessel itself. "Royal Research Ship" is a general article about these types of ships and the image is being used in a decorative manner in a gallery in Royal Research Ship#Future Royal Research Ships. This kind of usage in galleries is not typically allowed for non-free images per WP:NFG because the context required by WP:NFCC#8 is lacking, which is the case here. Moreover, there is a stand-alone article about the vessel which is wikilinked, so there's no need to use the image here per No. 6 of WP:NFC#UUI. Suggest keep for the article about the vessel itself, but remove from the more general article about this class of vessel. Also, I'm not sure if the template ((Non-free architectural work)) should be being used as the licensing for things such as this since I don't think its common to refer to ships, planes, cars, etc. as "architectural works". There is a ((Non-free aircraft image)) for planes, but there does not seem to be something specific for vessels. Perhaps ((Non-free 2D art)) would be better since this seems to be an artist's rendition of what the vessel will look like upon completion. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:06, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

As per above. The non-free image should only be used in the stand-alone article about the vessel. Tupsumato (talk) 06:11, 23 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

May be useful for Commons - the article it was used in was Brassmill (Ross on Wye) which was deleted per PROD. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 10:24, 31 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Jo-Jo Eumerus: Was the photo captioned? I'm wondering if it might be this listed building. I also did a search for "barn" among listed buildings in Ross-on-Wye (there are quite a few) but got no hits. Kelly hi! 10:40, 31 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The caption was Brassmill and the location is Brassmill is situated in 2.8 acres (11,000 m2) of unspoilt rural countryside just North West of Gloucester and east of Ross-on-Wye on the banks of the Ell Brook. The area is ideal for the accessibility to the M50, A40 and M5.. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 10:47, 31 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Pretty sure I've located the site at 51°55′43″N 2°22′38″W / 51.928599°N 2.377269°W / 51.928599; -2.377269. Although there was once a brass mill at this location, it was apparently long ago demolished and the current buildings on the site aren't noteworthy. Kelly hi! 11:05, 31 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
