Non-free images of Ghandi being used in Ramgarh district#Indian National Congress 53rd Session. If these files really need to be treated as non-free images, then the way they are being used in the article does not satisfy WP:NFCC. The images themselves are not the subject of any sourced commentary within the relevant section, so the context required by WP:NFCC#8 is not clear at all. Moreover, if the purpose is to simply show Gandhi as is being claimed by their respective non-free use rationales, then there are a number of freely licensed/public domain images at c:Category:Mohandas K. Gandhi which could possibly be used to serve the same encyclopedic purpose per WP:NFCC#1. Unless it is possible to convert these to some sort of public domain licensing, I suggest delete for them both. -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:24, 14 December 2016 (UTC)

An 1866 image is normally PD-art? Can someone clarify why this is under a non-free clause (the metadata notwithstanding)? Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:16, 14 December 2016 (UTC)
I am the uploader, and this may be simply ignorance on my part, in which case I apologise. The original image is online at [1] and is a copy of a portrait of the subject who died in 1841. I have cropped and reduced the original. Portnadler (talk) 23:19, 14 December 2016 (UTC)
In the absence of further discussion, I've changed it to PD-art. I hope this is OK. Portnadler (talk) 08:53, 16 December 2016 (UTC)
