Simple geometry, basic gradient, basic font. Is this below the TOO and thus PD that we can put on Commons? DemonDays64 (talk) 08:11, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Consists just of a simple font, two gradients with a curve between them, and some fading parallel lines. The lines, the most original part, are very similar to the ones in the Nikon logo which was ruled as not copyrightable. I think this may be below the TOO and be public domain. The phone icon is essentially identical to the one in the "Made for iPhone" logo, which is marked as a public domain logo consisting of just simple geometry. The background is just two gradients cut in a certain way; I don't think that is past the TOO. I think this is below the Threshold of Originality and can be marked as PD and moved to Commons. I recently changed the status of the image to "PD-ineligible-USonly". The artwork of (Can You) Feel the Passion, made either by the British record label Big Life or American record label SBK Records, consists of plain text and background color. The artist's name and song title use different colors but are still plain; they vary in sizes. I'd love to move this to Commons, but c:COM:TOO UK also applies. British law may have very low originality standards for British copyright, so let's decide whether the artwork may or may not be copyrightable there.
