- File:Logo of the National Assembly of Vietnam.png (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Nguyen.asia.18 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).
Logo issued by the government of Vietnam. No reason to believe it is public domain as claimed (see c:COM:Vietnam). The justification given is only valid for documents. Wikiacc (¶) 05:12, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Relicence to c:Template:PD-VietnamGov. Keep. My brief look at the copyright law hints that state-produced copyright-free elements are not _limited to_ documents, but include them. With that being said, the SVG version has been uploaded with this and then subsequently relicenced as CC without modification which doesn't seem appropriate whatsoever. AtomCrusher (talk) 19:29, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- @AtomCrusher: that template explicitly says "The template is for images of scanned text documents only." Wikiacc (¶) 01:33, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Somehow I completely missed that, thanks. Think I was neck-deep in the other copyright docs. AtomCrusher (talk) 01:46, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Italian mugshot. The photo's date of creation and first publication are unknown, so it is unknown if ((PD-Italy)) applies. The individual is alive, so WP:NFCC#1 is unlikely to be met. Wikiacc (¶) 05:19, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This photo of a very old sculpture was taken by Caspar Meyer and published in a 2013 book. Meyer (or the book's publisher) probably retains copyright over the photo. Wikiacc (¶) 05:44, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per nom since image is coprighted. Given the statue doesn't show what the person could have looked like (you don't see their head), I think WP:NFCC#8 would not be satisfied. P,TO 19104 (talk) (contribs) 20:33, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- @P,TO 19104: since someone else could go to the museum and take a free photo of the statue (at least in principle), WP:NFCC#1 is probably not met either. Wikiacc (¶) 01:37, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Weak delete The image is credited to the author on page xvii of the source (List of Figures: Figure 55, page 161) and copyright is asserted on the book's flypaper. DrKay (talk) 16:21, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Just because it's a popular meme doesn't make it essential under NFCC. GMGtalk 18:38, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - An image isn't needed to demonstrate "Elon Musk puffing a cigar supposedly laced with cannabis". That is adequately conveyed with the existing text in the article. Fails WP:NFCC#1. -- Whpq (talk) 18:55, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - The image does not meet WP:NFCCP#8. The image does not "significantly increase readers' understanding" of the incident, and its omission is not "detrimental to that understanding." TarkusABtalk/contrib 19:29, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - Definitely doesn't increase understanding (NFCC #8) and I'm not convinced about it being encyclopedic either (NFCC #5). Rosbif73 (talk)
- Keep - The image is an infamous one of Musk and helps to connect the event with the thousands of memes it spawned. CNNMoney and other noted publications readily featured the still, recogizing its importance. The image also helps to balance all of the other images of Musk on Elon Musk which are either faux-candid shots from highly choreographed scenes or are portrait-esque. Musk does and says outrageous things and the image encapsulates that aspect of his publicity much like featuring his COVID-19 prediction tweet and mention of his tongue-in-cheek music. QRep2020 (talk) 23:50, 27 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Moderate Keep. For the reasons mentioned by QRep2020 but also other things. I was reading our article on the guy the other day and actually saw the section this was used in. There's a quote there on the precise way that Musk actually was smoking the thing, and I doubt it would've clicked in my mind had this image not been in there (as in it helped increase my understanding of the topic). Basically, as a reader, I found the section with the image pretty helpful in conveying what happened there that I doubt any free media currently could. –MJL ‐Talk‐☖ 05:16, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete there are murals of Musk on the Rogan show - so keeping would actually fail WP:NFCC#1 and WP:NFCC#8. P,TO 19104 (talk) (contribs) 13:58, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
- Can you link to a picture of one of the murals please? Maybe it can be used instead of the screenshot if it fails this. QRep2020 (talk) 16:30, 29 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
