Wiki-PCAP is a collaboration between Wikipedians and the collections and curatorial staff of the Pacific Collections Access Project at Auckland Museum, set up by the New Zealand Wikipedian at Large in August 2018 as part of the Museum's GLAM-Wiki initiatives.

The coverage of Pacific basket-weaving is non-existent, despite the article being level-4 Vital status. This is typical of most Pasifika crafts coverage in Wikipedia, in contrast to Pākehā crafts such as knitting or textile weaving. The goal is for Auckland Museum to improve the coverage of Pacific basketry, using the strengths of the PCAP project in images, terminologies, research, and recorded Pacific-community knowledge.
