Please post error reports regarding only what is currently or imminently on the Main Page. For general discussion about the Main Page, please use its talk page.
Most issues relating to national variations of the English language have already been discussed here at length:

Where is the error? An exact quotation of the text in question helps.
Offer a correction if possible.
References are helpful, especially when reporting an obscure factual or grammatical error.
Time zones. The Main Page runs on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC, currently 11:57 on 4 September 2024) and is not adjusted to your local time zone.
Can you resolve the problem yourself? If the error lies primarily in the content of an article linked from the Main Page, fix the problem there before reporting it here. Text on the Main Page generally defers to the articles with bolded links. Upcoming content on the Main Page is usually only protected from editing beginning 24 hours before its scheduled appearance. Before that period, you can be bold and fix any issues yourself.
Do not use ((edit fully-protected)) on this page, which will not get a faster response. It is unnecessary, because this page is not protected, and causes display problems because this is not a talk page. (See the bottom of this revision for an example.)
No chit-chat. Lengthy discussions should be moved to a suitable location elsewhere, such as the talk page of the relevant article or project.
Respect other editors. Another user wrote the text you want changed, or reported an issue they see in something you wrote. Everyone's goal should be producing the best Main Page possible. The compressed time frame of the Main Page means sometimes action must be taken before there has been time for everyone to comment. Be civil to fellow users.
Reports are removed when resolved. Once an error has been addressed or determined not to be an error, or the item has been rotated off the Main Page, the report will be removed from this page. Check the revision history for a record of any discussion or action taken; no archives are kept.
This claim appears nowhere in the three sources [1][2][3] that were offered—none of which, regardless, is the sort of high-quality academic source we would want for so serious a claim. The claim of a "pivotal role" appears several times in the article, but as far as I can tell is not verified in any of the sources cited there either. I'm saddened that I only saw this with 75 minutes left in the day, but given the extreme political sensitivity around Jewish participation in the civil rights movement—see e.g. [4]—I'm requesting a speedy pull. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|she) 22:45, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've had a quick read and can't verify this claim either. Z1720 promoted this but their last edit was 80 minutes ago; a ping will probably not be responded to immediately. Using the precautionary principle, I shall pull this but invite discussion. Ping also to Homerethegreat who nominated this article. Schwede6622:57, 15 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hey guys :). So I'm attaching here several sources regarding this, since it seems that the problem is verifiability from what I understand. Furthermore, If you feel the words "played a pivotal" are problematic than I don't mind changing to "played a central" or "important" etc..
[5], "the Jewish community played a key advocacy role, both in the communities and on Capitol Hill, in the passage of these acts." (regarding bills) In bottom of source you can attachments to about twenty other sources relating to the topic :).
[6] "American Jews played a central role in the civil rights movement from the start of the 20th century."
[7]"American Jews played a key role in the founding and funding of some of the most important civil rights organizations."
[8] "American Jews played a significant role in the founding and funding of some of the most important civil rights organizations, including the NAACP, the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) and the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC).", "During the Civil Rights Movement, Jewish activists represented a disproportionate number of white people involved in the struggle. Jews made up half of the young people who participated in the Mississippi Freedom Summer in 1964"
@Homerethegreat: given that this was one of yesterday's hooks, and it had almost a full day – it wasn't removed until an hour before the end of the day – it won't be running again. It's a shame we couldn't fix it much earlier. Cheers — Amakuru (talk) 14:11, 16 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Homerethegreat: The article is no longer eligible for DYK. But you did get 23 hours, which is 11 more than a lot of articles get, so 🤷. For what it's worth, looking at the sources you've provided, I would have been fine with changing "pivotal" to "major", but anything past that raises WP:SYNTH and/or WP:SOURCETYPES issues. Overall the article looks like it's too reliant on newsmedia sources rather than scholarly ones, making it vulnerable to SYNTH despite this being a very well-studied topic. I'll have more thoughts on the talkpage later. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|she) 16:38, 16 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
17 Dec Wright Flyer - At "subsequently restored by Orville." maybe add 'Wright'? (It's okay in article lede because the brothers' first names are given.) JennyOz (talk) 14:21, 16 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
At "and rear double rudder." give section link to #Aircraft rudders. (Other links eg "heavier-than-air" and "anhedral" have section links.) JennyOz (talk) 14:21, 16 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
