The Keshen Goodman Public Library in Halfax and WikiProject Nova Scotia will be hosting an edit-a-thon on Saturday, 19 March 2016 focused on creating local articles and Nova Scotia content. All are invited, with no specialized knowledge of the subject or Wikipedia editing experience required. A brief overview of the basics of Wikipedia editing will be given at the start of the edit-a-thon. We will have library resources and a list of suggested topics on hand.
Who should attend: Artists, historians, students, teachers, curators, visitors...
Experienced or new Wikipedians (We will provide assistance with Wikipedia formatting and syntax)
Amateur historians or research pros (We will have a selection of resources available for your use; we will also pull related materials from the Library
The Library has public access computers and a wireless guest accounts for participants. Please bring your own laptop. Please make sure you have set up an account before coming to the Library, the IP address is a shared IP and will be blocked by the this site.
