this image is quite clearly a promotional photo for the helicopter company, but the uploader released it under the GDFL. Gump Stump (talk) 00:30, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Essentially no sourcing information, but it could be correct. I just declined an F4 on this because that's for when an article has no source or truly, amazingly bad source information. "Self-made" is used quite a bit as a source, although I have a feeling that this image might not actually be self-made based on quality and positioning. There's very little other information to help determine this on the image page. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 02:02, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Self-made is a perfectly reasonable source if the image was indeed self-made. I don't see any reason to assume bad faith here. IronGargoyle (talk) 03:39, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's a perfectly reasonable source; I mainly brought it here because User:Martin H. had tagged it as lacking a source even though it said "self made". I'm kind of neutral on this. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 11:59, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This image looks a little suspicious- it may be a scan, and certianly looks posed. Further, what sort of author is "fbk:)"- Facebook? Some clarification from the author here would be nice. Assuming good faith is not the same as assuming everything is fine. J Milburn (talk) 18:43, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The uploader is an established user with no history of copyright violations. The username matches the subject, and fbk could very well suggest his or her Facebook. IronGargoyle (talk) 23:05, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File:Dubai Montage.png

Compilation of images, at least one of which was taken from the sky. I doubt that they were all user created. For a montage such as this, the creator needs to specify the source of each image. J Milburn (talk) 18:38, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your reply. All images are from various wikipedia languages and are copyright free. I just made a montage to go on the Dubai article. I am an administrator on the Welsh (cy) wikipedia and do have a knowledge of the rules and regulations of wikipedia. Rhyshuw1 (talk) 18:42, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sourcing seems to have been adequately dealt with. IronGargoyle (talk) 22:59, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Image taken from another website, I do not think the source website releases its material into the public domain. J Milburn (talk) 19:09, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RE

This design of the jersey belongs to the Soviet govt. As far as i understand the web-site i've listed doesn't own the rights for this jersey. I've listed this web-site as an example. Andreyx109 (talk) 21:17, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No but they own the rights for the picture of the jersey. Its called a derivative work. -Djsasso (talk) 03:53, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I do understand it, the problem is that this photo is all over the Russian internet, and who has the rights for the picture is uknown, the original picture was different, the one i've uploaded is re-edited by me. How we can go about it? Is there anything we can do to leave this picture? Andreyx109 (talk) 17:13, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
