Implausible search term, (possible BLP concerns (weak), may be to promote websites by this name???) Scott Mac 23:39, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Implausible search term, weakly possible BLP concerns Scott Mac 23:36, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's a very plausible search term:[1]. Keep. Fences&Windows 03:01, 22 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Delete per nom. I guess someone could write an article on the term, but as a redirect to Tom Cuise it does not fulfil any encyclopedic purpose. --JN466 17:47, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Note that Jumping the couch leads to the same target, i.e. the specific section of the Cruise BLP discussing the term and its origin. I have thought this over -- people looking for a description of the incident, or further info on the phrase it spawned, might just be served by this redirect. If anyone does write an article on the term "jumping the couch" (there seem to be enough sources on it to make it pass GNG), then couch jumping should redirect to jumping the couch. As it is, that BLP section seems to be the only place it is covered. --JN466 19:37, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Default is to capitalized surname, hence this is unnecessary clutter and serves no purpose whatsoever. Delete. Artiquities (talk) 18:28, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Keep - it's something that people are likely to type into the address bar when doing a search. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 21:25, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Keep. None of the reasons to delete apply. Redirects are cheap. Mhiji (talk) 21:46, 20 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Keep. A very likely search term. --Auntof6 (talk) 22:34, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Delete. Wikipedia automatically corrects capitalization on search, for example, if you search for Anne boleyn it automatically opens Anne Boleyn even though there is no redirect: Anne boleyn. All redirects of this sort should be deleted after verifying that they are not explicitly referenced. It is confusing to the user to see a "redirected" message at the top of some, but not all, articles searched for without correct capitalization, so get rid of them all! — Anomalocaris (talk) 05:01, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
