Mallimak[edit]

Mallimak (talk · contribs) has been engaged in a growing WP:POINT campaign, which is outlined here:

The entire situation is probably best summarised by this comment by User:Alai:

... this is just abuse of the project space (to go with earlier abuse of the article space, the category space, and template space by the same user). The description of an edit that adds "The Orkney archipelago is a council area of Scotland." as "vandalism", and reverting it with summary "Mais oui! Why are you interfering here? Can t you just bugger off?" basically sums up the problem with Mallimak's behaviour: a determination to have his "own" content in some niche of wikipedia, regardless of encyclopaedic value, and independent of other editors' input. If this keeps up, an RFC would be indicated

He has been using the IP addresses since the start of his campaign, in a vain attempt to evade his Contributions being monitored; and the Gruelliebelkie (talk · contribs) account (whose only previous edit was to the User page in order to turn it blue in links) was created to vote in this SFD discussion:

After letting it lie inactive for 6 weeks, he started using it again today in order to vote in the on-going MFD discussion.

The Orkadian (talk · contribs) account has had almost no activity, but the little it has is identical to the pattern of all other Mallimak socks, and it was used yesterday (in its 4th-ever edit) to vote in the MFD discussion.

Please could you check to see if the Gruelliebelkie and Orkadian accounts are being used as sockpuppets in order to pervert the MFD consultation process? Thanks. Mais oui! 13:54, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

 Likely I didn't run an exhaustive check of all the IPs, but it's likey that Mallimak is responsible for most of the edits from a number of them. Gruelliebelkie and Orkadian are also likely socks. The Uninvited Co., Inc. 15:32, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
