Suspected sockpuppets

"AK at Aquila Polonica Publishing" was blocked on 11 March (log). On 23 March, 19:50, they requested an unblock. An hour later Tataqp was created, and their first post was a very long post to ARCA in which they declared "As a publisher of books in the subject area of Poland in World War II, I am acutely aware of the devastating long-term impact of postwar communist disinformation warfare..." (and called for use of vanity presses for WWII). They then made this edit to Fighting Auschwitz, adding information it was re-published by Aquila Polonica in 2018. "AK at Aquila Polonica Publishing" self-identifies at "Aquila Polonica", made this promotional edit to The Auschwitz Volunteer: Beyond Bravery that was published by "Aquila Polonica", less than 24 hours after the new "Tataqp" account posted to ARCA also posted to ARCA calling for the use of this kind of vanity press for World War II. In summary, both accounts have very few edits, both are doing conflict-of-interest edits on "Aquila Polonica" books, both self identify as publishers, both posted on ARCA on the same topic in close proximity, and finally "Tataqp" was created and edited while "AK at Aquila Polonica Publishing" was blocked. Maybe creating an account with a pending username unblock is fair game, but making posts to ARCA with both accounts (AK at Aquila Polonica Publishing, Tataqp) pretending they are different is not.--Bob not snob (talk) 12:37, 25 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Comments by other users

These guys posted their comments one after another right on ARCA in a manner it was obvious they are co-workers. Yes, it does look like a case of Wikipedia:Canvassing, but I am sure they did not know about such policy. Otherwise, they would not do it so openly. I do not think they had intention to deceive. The choice of user name as the place of work, i.e. "AK at Aquila Polonica Publishing" is also an indication this is probably a new user who had no intention to deceive. My very best wishes (talk) 16:43, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
