Suspected sockpuppets

User:Fat Cigar, a confirmed sockpuppet of Jagz edited the Human genetic variation page several times last year, and showed some interest in articles relating to human genetics. User:Wet dog fur shows a very similar style of editing to Jagz, and also the first edit this user made was to a section in the Human genetic variation article that User:Fat Cigar has previously been interested in.[1][2] User:Wet dog fur displays the same racialist ideology as User:Jagz and made several edits to the "Human genetic variation" article so that it's emphasis appears to be racial rather than a neutral discussion about human genetic diversity.[3] Jagz was a well known promoter of racialist ideology, as his constant editing of the Race and intelligence article attested. User:Wet dog fur also showed a very intricate knowledgs of Wikipedia, by starting an RfC on the talk page of the article very soon after starting to edit here,[4] and without seeking discussion or consensus on the talk page. Article RfCs should not be a first resort, but they usually were for Jagz. He proceeded to edit the article after starting the RfC claiming the RfC had provided a consensus for his edits, but what he claimed was not a consensus of the RfC. Given Jagz's known use of sockpuppets, his interest in "race" and that one of his former sockpuppets showed an interest in this article previously, his very similar editing style, and his use of the existence of the RfC to edit how he wanted, while ignoring the outcome of RfC, I'd like to request checkuser for this account. Thanks. Alun (talk) 11:39, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure why there would be interest in scrutinizing an account that is contributing productively to Wikipedia. Alun is continuing to engage in incivility and now slander and spin. He has a long history of tag teaming articles on race and ethnicity in a manner supportive of his POV and contrary to WP:NPOV. This is apparently an act of POV-pushing on his part to combat an imaginary threat. --Wet dog fur (talk) 16:23, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

SPA account (diff) that is continuing the trolling (diffdiffdiff) at Human genetic variation started by User:Fat Cigar and continued by User:Wet dog fur, both confirmed sockpuppets of User:Jagz. I'll give him this, he seems intent on creating as many sockpuppet accounts as it takes in order to create as much annoyance as possible. Alun (talk) 06:48, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't call the edits "trolling" ("disruptive" would be better), but I do agree that this user is probably a block-evading sockpuppet of Jagz. I have indef-blocked the account. --Elonka 17:11, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

He's not even trying to conceal it now, as this username shows. I think he's just trying to be as disruptive as possible, he probably thinks he's being funny or clever, he seems to have an abundance of his own time to waste. I suppose he'll give up eventually when he gets bored with being blocked. Still at Human genetic variation.[5]. Alun (talk) 06:28, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree with some of the comments about why Jagz may be doing this, but I do agree with Alun/Wobble that this is indeed a Jagz sockpuppet, and I have indef blocked the account. --Elonka 06:45, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Evidence submitted by T34CH (talk)

Sossoz is a confirmed sock of Jagz that got swept up by a CU last month. This user is included to show behavioral evidence and to provide a recent case to compare technical evidence. Guitardude1945 randomly appeared and made an edit which is identical to Sossoz's only edit. [6] [7]

Heretofore, Atomic Blunder, and Saul Greenberg were also blocked in the above mentioned sweep, and are also added for additional technical evidence (I didn't find a CU case to reference after a quick look, otherwise I would have done so instead of listing the old socks).

Since Jagz often appears using several socks at a time to edit several different articles, I believe that a CU is required to identify all the current socks.

Fixentries was a user who only appeared the month after Jagz was blocked. He was extremely inactive until he started editing Race and intelligence (the same article Sossoz and Guitardude edited, and one of Jagz's old favorites). Fixentries' actions were described by several different editors as similar to Jagz (in that he was quite antagonistic and obtuse on the talk page). He also made several trolling edits at other articles, such as [8]. T34CH (talk) 23:23, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is absurd in so many ways.

  1. It's slrubenstein, teach and alun who are so abusive in the talk page. At one point I let slrubenstein bait me and I responded to it in kind. This accusation is completely, well, it looks paranoid/insane or like a troll, or some other form of abuse.
  2. Those same people (and muntuwandi) are active "trolls" and "pov-pushers" etc. This guy is one.
  3. This guy t34ch is an obvious sock puppet. Look at his edit history.
  4. I've never ever heard of jagz, have no idea who it is. This is my only account, period. No idea what any of this is about. I don't care about the race/intelligence article, I made only fair and reasonable edits to it, and I've decided to leave it alone. This is just nonsense. I stumble on this guy's worthless troll-article and am subject to a nonstop attack compaign.

I recommend, rather than even investigating these accusations, a permanent block on T34CH. Remove this troll from wikipedia pelase. Fixentries (talk) 21:10, 18 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
