Wikipedia:WikiProject Feminism

The resulting WikiProject was created at Wikipedia:WikiProject Feminism
A project to coordinate work on feminism-related articles. This is actually an upgrade request, as WikiProject Gender Studies/Feminism Task Force already exists but has outgrown the parent project and should be spun off into an independent child project. This project was founded as a taskforce of WikiProject Gender Studies. I think it would be a good idea, however, for us to switch to being a child project rather than a taskforce. Firstly, this project operates mostly independently of WikiProject Gender Studies. I think most of the editors involved in this project tend to think of it as independent as there isn't much cross-communication with the main project as you see with other taskforces. Secondly, we miss out on a lot of services that are provided specifically for WikiProjects. Getting things like stats and alerts is a pain to set up if you're technically part of another WikiProject and live on a sub-page. Moving to our own page would make this much simpler. If there is consensus for such a move, I would be happy to handle all the heavy lifting. I can re-tag all of our articles with a bot and fix everything else by hand. Thoughts?
