Description[edit]

The idea of a Wizard rock WikiProject was proposed almost two years ago. Now that there are two more bands and a few more Harry and the Potters releases with articles, it would benefit to have a wizard rock task force. There are just thirteen articles related to wizard rock, however the task force will not only be a place that improves these articles, but will also be a place to gather sources, build new articles in collaborative sandboxes and discuss uploading the mass of photographs related to wizard rock to WikiCommons (from Flickr). The task force's complete scope is proposed below. The task force would be a child of two projects WikiProject Harry Potter and WikiProject Alternative music, with the task force arbitrarily placed under latter of the projects.

Discussion[edit]

As this is about bands and music genres, do you think this task force would also be helped by coverage by a music wikiproject? Also, have you run into any issues with trying to utilize the talk page and resources of WikiProject Harry Potter? -Optigan13 (talk) 06:22, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with you Optigan13, it would be better if this task force was under WikiProject Alternative music aswell as the previously proposed WikiProject Harry Potter. This is because the set of "wizard rock" articles (the scope of this task force) are only Harry Potter articles about bands and their releases, whereas these type of articles are common under WikiProject Alternative music, so quality assessment, style guides and internal peer review system, among other things mean that the task force should be a child of two projects WikiProject Harry Potter and WikiProject Alternative music, with the task force arbitrarily placed under latter of the projects.
