This is the WikiProject assessment department "Top-Importance" page belonging to Wikipedia:WikiProject Horror. It is used as a basis for assigning "Top" importance to existing articles.

Top-importance is a designation used to indicate that an article is core to this WikiProject and the understanding of the horror genre.

N.b. Please bear in mind that the aim is not to assess the relative qualities of the articles themselves, but to determine how important (of what priority to the horror genre) it is the have an article about the subject in this on-line encyclopedia or any variant of it.

Suggest a candidate for inclusion
To suggest a candidate to be promoted to Top-importance, please follow these guidelines. Click edit for the Candidates for inclusion section. Find the alphabetical location for your candidate by first letter of article name (regardless of if it is a person's name). Vote on a candidate for inclusion
To vote for or against a candidate to be promoted to Top-importance, please follow these guidelines. Click edit for the subsection detailing the candidate in the Candidates for inclusion section. Please keep to starting the entry with emboldened class names (i.e. "Top", "High", "Mid" or "Low") only so it is clear for those following and so that the rating is clear (terms such as "promote" are relative in this context and thus shouldn't be used).

Candidates will be approved or rejected based on the following system: Approved if the candidate has more for votes than against votes after one month.; Rejected if the candidate has an equal number or more against votes than for votes after one month.
