Failure to meet any of the criteria does not mean that a photographer is not notable or that the photographer does not merit an article in en:WP.

Names are in Hepburn romanization, complete with macrons, and are in the original order -- following the lead of the single most authoritative and comprehensive work in English: The History of Japanese Photography, ed. Anne Wilkes Tucker, et al. (New Haven: Yale University Press, 2003; ISBN 0-300-09925-8).
