The above article says that Rockvest ia a Rockefeller Family owned venture, and as noted earlier on this page Nicolas Rockefeller is the managing director of Rockvest company.

So, shall we NOT have any public information about this man because the Rockefeller Family for some reason doesn't publicly talk about him?

He is clearly part of the Rockefeller family, of the Rockefeller fortune and the Rockefeller story. Keep this article up, and let us build it and find MORE information about him.. Not hide him away.

This has nothing with what you call "outrageous conspiricy theories" to do. It has to do with common sense.

Update. I have confirmed the Wall Street Journal Story ... sort of. The article is about the possible misperception on the part of Shanghai officials that by dealing with Rockefeller Group International Inc. they were also dealing with the Rockefeller family. The family, however, began selling the company off in 1989 and doesn't own any of it today.
Stirring further confusion about Rockefeller Group in the minds of some government officials earlier this year was the arrival of one Nicholas Rockefeller, a Los Angeles attorney, who says he appealed personally to Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng to take over the project after hearing it was troubled. He says he suggested to the mayor that his name would make it easy to adjust any contracts.
Nicholas Rockefeller declined to say where in the Rockefeller family he fits. But the family's patriarch, David Rockefeller, said through an associate that he doesn't recall ever meeting Nicholas. The relationship "is probably quite distant, seventh or eighth cousins," according to the associate, Peter Johnson.

THE ROCKEFELLER FAMILY HAS OVER 190 MEMBERS.

I've been quoted for saying that just being a member of the family would make you notable. I should have said "being a direct descendent of John D. Rockefeller" but even that may have been a bit hasty. I certainly don't want to suggest that there should be over a hundred articles that say nothing more than "NN is a member of the Rockefeller family." If Nicholas R. is to have an article, we need more than "may be a seventh or eighth cousion of David Rockefeller." The trouble with this man is not so much his biography but our ignorance of it. We don't know anything about him that warrants an article about him.--Thomas Basboll 08:29, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
