Ypthima singala, the Sinhalese five-ring, is a species of Satyrinae butterfly. It is endemic to Sri Lanka.[1] The common name Jewel Four-ring is sometime used for the species, which is the common name of .
Show sexual dimorphism. In male, dorsal surface of both wings brownish. One large eye-spot and a series of smaller eyespots found on the ventral surface of forewing. This large eyespot can be seen very faintly on dorsal surface. In female, a prominent eye-spot found on the dorsal surface of forewing. Few small eyespots found above the outer margin of the hind wing.[2] Larval food plant is Axonopus compressus.[3]
