Spassky Destrict (Roushie: Спа́сский райо́н; Tatar Cyrillic: Спас районы, Laitin: Spas rayonı) is a admeenistrative[1] an municipal[3] destrict (raion), ane o the fowerty-three in Tatarstan, Roushie. It is locatit in the soothwast o the republic. The aurie o the destrict is 2,028 square kilometer (783 sq mi). Its administrative center is the toun o Bolgar.[2] Population: 20,554 (2010 Census);[4] 21,779 (2002 Census);[7] 23,346 (1989 Census).[8] The population o Bolgar accoonts for 42.1% o the destrict's total population.[4]
