Biographical evaluation or ʿIlm al-rijāl (Arabic: عِلْمُ الرِّجال), meaning "Knowledge of Men" in Arabic, is a branch of Islamic studies focused on assessing the reliability of individuals who narrate Hadiths (sayings of Prophet Muhammad). This discipline aims to determine the credibility of narrators by combining historical and religious information. Its purpose is to differentiate between authentic and trustworthy Hadiths and those that are less reliable.[1][2][3]
