Dwijen Sharma (May 29, 1929 – September 15, 2017) was a Bangladeshi naturalist and science writer.[1] He was awarded Bangla Academy Award in 1987 and Ekushey Padak in 2015 by the Government of Bangladesh for his work in language and literature.[2]
In 1962 he left Barisal to join the faculty of Notre Dame College, Dhaka and worked until 1974. Then, he moved to Moscow to work for Progress Publishers as a translator.
Sharma died of kidney disease on September 15, 2017 in Dhaka, Bangladesh at the age of 88.[3]
