Her music has charted on the Billboard charts multiple times, while her videos have been played internationally, including on MTV, where she won a Freshmen competition.[2][3] She's been the #1 indie artist on US Pop radio for a month.[4] She was selected to the national House of Blues class of 2016 of promising musicians,[5] and has performed at venues including Mizner Amphitheater, Hard Rock Cafe, House of Blues and B.B.King's. In May 2017, Meresha performed on the main night and stage at SunFest for 40,000. Meresha was named the #3 emerging artist globally on Billboard's Next Big Sound chart in July 2017.[3][6][7] Meresha's 2017 "Enter the Dreamland" EP debuted on the Billboard Top Heatseekers Album sales chart, and was Top 10 on iTunes and Amazon charts.[8]AllMusic called the album "a delightful five-song set of smart, effervescent, forward-thinking progressive pop" and named it a Top 20 album of the year.[9][10] The first single "Enter the Dreamland" hit #1 on the HMV singles chart in Canada in August 2017.[11] Subsequent singles like "Violet Night" and "Olivia" made Billboard Charts in 2018 and 2019.[12] Meresha continued to release a series of singles including 2022's "Trouble", which prompted Extra TV to call her an "exciting and otherworldly talent",[13] and Forbes France to mention her as an independent artist approaching global stardom.[14]
In 2015, Meresha released the EPNew Revolution. It included the title song and three other songs.[15] Her eclecticism and beats created a fresh sound that brought old styles into modern production.[16] The song "New Revolution" entered the Billboard Top 40 chart between Adele and Justin Bieber. It was the #1 Indie song on US radio for a month. Her video clipNew Revolution was directed by David Rousseau. He had also directed most Pitbull's videos .[17]My love has come was in the Top 40 on both Billboard Activator and Indicator charts. At the end of 2016, Meresha released the dual-language singleTogether/Juntos.[18] She performed her songs live in concert with Adam Lambert and the band Third Eye Blind.[4][19][20]
Meresha performed at SunFest 2017 with musicians such as Weezer, Blink-182, Snoop Dogg and Macklemore. This was the first time that she performed two of her songs from her 2017 EP Enter the Dreamland.[21][22][23] The following year, Meresha's single Violet Night placed at number 2 on the Billboard Dance & Electronic charts.[24][25] Meresha performed at the 2019 Governor's Ball music festival in New York.[26] Her 2019 single Olivia peaked at #4 on Billboard Dance & Electronic charts.[27] Later that year, she released Is This Love. The album was released to benefit the international charity Movember.[28][29][30][31]
Meresha released the single Hold and the album Look How Far in 2020.[32] In 2021, she released the single Red Headed Lover, the In Bloom EP and Hawai'i. 2022 singles included Trouble Greatest Time, Fire On, Memory and Ask Me[32][33]
